Good but not great by Weichi

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

I had a good time on the cruise.  The onboard entertainment was a lot more entertaining that I thought it was going to be.  I watched the belly flop contest, comedian, gymnast, musical shows and participated in the bingo night and they were all fun.  What I didn't enjoy was how hard it was to find a chair on the deck to lounge on, how rocky the ship was and that we weren't able to dock at 1 of 2 of our ports.  From what I understand, the ship was on the smaller end and the weather wasn't that great, regardless that affected how much I was able to enjoy the cruise.

Loved the ship staff but was dissapointed with cancellation of Cocoakay by dsoares2320

Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

We were very pleased with the ship personnel. Loved Tut, our cabin attendant. We could not have been happier to have met Carlington, Kevin, and Sveden at dinner. We were so pleased with the service and the hard work the displayed in making us feel at home. We loved Nassau. We were dissapointed at the cancellation of the trip to Cocoakay. That was 50% of the trip.

Orbits booking of Enchantment of the Sea by cnalfeche

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

When I booked with Orbits in this cruise for 4 adults it didnt have the option of having 2 separate cabins like i wanted for 2 couples so we end up in one disable cabin that had 2 bunk beds on each side of the main bed which has no privacy and had to share the bathroom with another couple. No happy with how Orbits arranged the tip at all.

Valentine's Day Cruise by bostonanne

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The overall cruise experience was great for a first-time cruiser.  Myself and 8 others from my family (we live all over the USA) chose to have a mini-reunion on the cruise.  I took my mother on this cruise as a gift to fulfill her life-long dream of going on a cruise which my father was unable to fulfill due to his untimely death to cancer.

Checking-in for the cruise was fairly easy, and the line was not too long to wait in.  Getting on-board was simple.  The rooms were as expected.  The housekeeping service was beyond attentive (Steven) and exceptional.  The main dining room service was excellent (Oscar).  Our party of 9 was seated together for dinner, which made the experience that much more personal.

The actual sailing part of the trip was very smooth, with the exception of a rocky last night's sleep on the cruise.  I do wish I had planned better for the afternoon spent on Nassau.  Downtown Nassau does not have that much to offer (other than the natives desperate to sell you goods or services, and expensive shops that I have at home in Boston).  I know excursion packages were possible to purchase through Royal Caribbean, however, it would have been nice to have planned better to find a reputable tour service to see more of the island.

The day at Coco Cay was great, even with the rough seas making it difficult for the boats to take people to/from the island.  I applaud the Captain for doing a great job under the circumstances and making the passengers safety the top priority.  Several people in my party did not make it to Coco Cay.  They were disappointed but understanding.  The island itself  was clean, well-maintained and had lots of activities to offer.  The only thing I was disappointed in was the shopping - the stuff for sale was junky touristy stuff. I was hoping for more hand-made crafts local to the Bahamas (which I was able to find in Nassau after hours of searching).

Overall, I think the entire service was exceptional.  The staff did a great job in offering non-stop entertainment and food.  The food in the Windjammer was decent (I equate it to a college cafeteria).  I was impressed with the variety though.  For someone who thought she would be terrified of the ship and didn't want to go, I actually would consider going again.

3 day break by lubbersdebbie

Loved the balcony room but wished the ship was more updated.  Also wish there were more options for dining for both breakfast and lunch....not just the windjammer.

The whole experience from check in to check out was great.  This was our first cruise and we were very impressed with the experience. The ship was spotless, the crew was excellent, the food was out of this world, the ports were fun, the room was terrific and the shows were fabulous.  I cannot say one bad thing about the trip.  TOP NOTCH.Happy

Enchantment of the seas! Good First Cruise by gadkins

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

My wife and I purchased our first cruise with Enchantment of the seas.  We had a good time aboard the ship.  The staff was amazing and extremely helpful.  I normally do not write reviews, but in this case I felt I should.  With it being our first cruise I learned that there is a difference between luxury levels of the ships.  This is an older ship, but if you are looking for a laid back party atmosphere with just a few phrils, this is a great ship.  Food was good. The comedy and broadway style shows were great.  We did experience some cooler weather, but that is the risk you take with taking cruises.  The only reason I rated this 4 instead of 5 stars was I like lots of activities and I don't drink.  If you want to keep moving and do more energetic activities, I would look elsewhere.  If you want to take in a few drinks, some shows, and just have a nice getaway to relax, this is perfect!!

Misled from the start by bradrjackson

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

When I booked this trip on the BOGO half off sale we were told we would receive $200 on board credit and a $75 gift card when we returned.

We did not receive either one and were told it was because we booked through someone other than Royal Caribbean.

I would not recommend using this company to book anything in the future.

There is nothing worse than being misled and lied to.

Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Our Enchantment of the Seas cruise was excellent!  Ed, our associate was amazing and helped get everything squared away in a timely fashion while answering all of our questions.  Short of the weather being a little cold, everything else was fantastic!

February Weather by theturners6

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The cruise itself was great!  Being my first time cruising, we consider price vs. weather conditions.  Be aware if you want the BEST time ever, you may need to pay a bit more to go in the warmer months.

Would do it again by jaxson370

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends

Crew, ship, food and shows were great. The weather was windy and cold, but that happens in February. Mark the cruise director was great, as was Dan Bennet, the juggler. Bone up on some better jokes... not funny when you understand math .

Disappointed by jimhooper

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Cruise was OK but nothing WOW for the price. If it had not been for Marc, the cruise director would have been a total wash-out for $107/night. RCI gave each of us $25 OBC while we had to shell out for gratuities ($12.95 per night for each of us x3). Needless to say, we were not very happy with the added expenses!

Great time by Capozzo47

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

I had a great time and the entertainment was really good. I'm so happy I made the show on the first night, it was as good as any I've seen on larger ships, with larger stages. The songs were great and the sound system was spot on. The corrogphy was wonderful I'd recommend this cruise if anyone asked.

1st Cruise by Cruiser853

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This was our first cruise, so it was a learning experience too.  I read many reviews before going on this ship.  I thought the ship was clean and the entire staff was wonderful.  We were unable to stop at Coco Cay because of the poor weather and the cruise director and his staff did everything possible to add more activities to our day.  With that being said, I don't know if cruising is for my family.  The activities did seem more geared towards couples in their 50s and groups of woman going on a cruise together.  I am not sure if the activities are based on who is on the ship or if these are the activities no matter what.  This is a question I would try and answer before booking my next cruise.

Wonderful!!! by MecksFamily

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Our cruise was wonderful! Everyone was nice and helpful! The ship was beautiful! The music was awesome! The food was excellent! The atmosphere was so tropical and had an island feel. There was more than enough activities to do. The parties were great and very energetic. We celebrated our 25th anniversary with 21 family members on board! Everything was so clean and pretty. This was our first cruise and we were well pleased!  The weather prevented us from docking at Cococay Island but a special thank you and appreciation to the Captain Tony for making important  navigating decisions!!! Great job to all!! Enjoyed Marc $ Mo!  Bing Bong!!!Happy
