Great First Experience by jmauden

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This was my first cruise, and it couldn't have been a better experience. The ship was immaculate; the staff was friendly; the food was delicious. In the main dining room, we were seated at a large table with other people. We thought we'd hate it, but we loved getting to know them. Now I know why people who cruise tend to do it regularly. I'm already planning my next trip.Happy

Many positives! by kesolie

Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Especially friendly and helpful staff.

No complaints at all!

We were seated at a "sharing" table for dinner each night.  Got acquainted with 2 couples and a family from Iceland.  They were so enjoyable that we were the last people to leave the dining room each night!

NEVER AGAIN by ramonawilliams8

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

I will start with my favorite part of the cruise which was returning home. I never write reviews but this time I have to. First of all when we arrived at the ports and got in line to board the ship the lady was very rude. We had family with us who was first time cruises who could not believe the way we were being treated. One we got on the ship we found our rooms which was smaller than expected but ok. The first day I realized that I made a big mistake choosing this ship. We went to the 9th floor to eat and Lord behold, the staff was not friendly at all. their were only a few staff members on the floor and they did not assist much at all. We went out that night to join in with the entertainment but their was nothing interesting to be found. Sorry for this review but for me bringing 7 first time cruisers on this ship really broke my heart. The food was ok but the ship was not fun at all. I really enjoyed the bahamas as well as the other islands, that part was awesome.

Good not Great Cruise by tylervuxta

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Very fun, relaxing trip. On-cruise entertainment was good but not great, and while I had a good time, there were aspects that I wish could have been done better. For example:

- When we could not go on land, pool deck was extremely overcrowded with insufficient resources. This should be a contingency the ship is better prepared for.

- Many of the evening shows were not very full, which led to a sub-par atmosphere.

Again, overall good trip, and loved the price-conscious approach, but wish a few of these details had been handled differently.

First time cruiser by shmova

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

I had an amazing time on this cruise. Very organized and friendly staff. The rooms are clean and well serviced. Food was great at the buffet and okay at the fair lady dinning room. The dinner at the steak house was always booked so had to do the dinning room every night. Entertainment was great as well. Did the atlantis water park and beach package, very pricy but great to see for the first time. Overall, very nice experience.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE & SHIP IN VERY BAD CONDITION by guisse0108

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

AS WE ENTERED THE SHIP NOT ONE MEMBER WAS THERE TO GREET US, WE HAD TO WONDER AROUND TO EVEN KNOW WHERE THE ELEVATORS WERE LOCATED. TALKING ABOUT ELEVATORS, EACH ONE OF THE SIX HAD THERE INDIVIDUAL BUTTON AND CONTROL, WHICH MEANT WE HAD TO PUSH EACH ELEVATOR BANK TO GET THE SERVICE. THE ROOMS HAD CHIPED MIRRORS WITH BAD CARPET ODOR. BUFFET WAS A REHEATED CONTINOUS MENU. THE BEST FOOD EXPIRIENCE I HAD WAS MY DINING WITH MANUEL & JULIAN (WAITERS) IN THE FAIR DINING. AND PLEASE DONT GET ME STARTED WITH THE DELUXE BEVERAGE PACKAGE I BOUGHT AHEAD OF TIME.

The worst cruise ever by sadiellebron

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

I have been in many cruises in the last 5 years, in several cruise lines, but this, Royal Caribbean "Enchantment of the Seas" by far is the worst. First, costumer service is mediocre, second, the food is not that good and third, entertainment does not exist, zero, none at all.. I am very disappointed that I am considering not doing cruises anymore, instead, i am going by plane and rent a room in any place. Bad, bad..

Not comfortable by evelio6328

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This is our experience in this cruise. Truly I can not recommend it to another person. I travelled with a friend , who has neck problems and his discomfort got worse because of the very bad quality bed and mattress, the worst bed I have slept on, including other ships and hotels.Cleaning in the pool area was not good, leftovers in the tables for hours and food on the floor. The bathroom in our room smelled urine all the time despite of being cleaned by us.The food variety was not good either.I hope this criticism helps to improve the services offered to persons that look for a good time  Thx

Don't let the bad reviews scare you! by pld30701

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Ok, I was really worried that I would not like this cruise due to the few bad reviews that I read. I really went into it with a pessimistic attitude. Boy was I wrong! This was my favorite out of the 9 cruises that I have taken in my life! It was the first Royal Caribbean. Getting on-board was easy and quick. We were able to get on by 11:00. Lunch opened at 11:30. The food was pretty good. The food in My Fair Lady was really good. The rooms were promptly ready at 1:30. The ship is beautiful. Yes it has some worn out areas that I wish RC would take care of. The worst thing would be some rust and the chairs in the Windjammer Cafe. But, I could look past that to see what a nice ship it is. The room was adequate, but the bed was hard. The staff was wonderful! So nice and attentive! The shows were excellent! Loved Coco Cay! We would definitely take this cruise again. I am already thinking about going again next February. it was that good!

The crew was very friendly. The dining experience for dinner was amazing. They can improve on the breakfast and lunch buffet quality as well as the activities.

Enchantment of the Seas by Cruiser6656813

CocoCay--We loved the jet skis--This was our first time and it was awesome!!! The water was smooth and the instructors did a great job!  I loved that the barbecue was ready and there was lots of space and seating.  I wish the music was more exciting so we could get up and dance and have fun.

Mother and Daughter Spring Break by pjohnston330415

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

We had a great cruise and just the right number of days.  We were hoping to get some much needed relaxation.  The Island was nice.  Nassau was okay but typical tourist stuff.  In Key West we did a Snorkel and Sail which was fun to do together.

Great Experience by Lauralkv

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

I was extremely happy with our experience on Enchantment of the Seas. The food was excellent, as was the service. We booked an exterior cabin with a window, and it was pretty roomy and comfortable. Their private island was a lot of fun as was our visit to Key West. All servers, room stewards, and entertainment staff were helpful and friendly. I would definitely book with Royal Caribbean again, and would travel on Enchantment of the Seas again.

Ripe off by paulatigert

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Royal Caribbean don't allow u to bring drinks aboard. Carnival allows a bottle of wine and 12 pack of pop. I had to pay almost 300 just for the pop cost for 6 ppl. The food was great will give them that! All the money my son spent at the casino they didn't comp him anything but 300 off next cruise and if u ask me it should of been more!! Carnival at least values their gamblers. I paid for the deep sea dolphin dive and all day pass at Atlantis well the boat got there we had 7 to 3 and the water park don't open til 10 and we swam with the dolphins at 11:30 so we had only time to go down the water slide 1 time. My fault for not checking that out I guess, but never seen the open hours of the park! So I felt like I got took for there and my mother in law who has a cane I had to pay $160.00 just for her to walk in the park to look around more or less!!! Housekeeper was great and the room was nice for the 6 of us,but the shower was terrible.

Nothing compares by mimipokidi

Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The ship was clean and neat. Stateroom was always looking tidy. Thumps up to Pierre.

Food was good. Options from my fair lady and windjammer, all for free.

Crew members were friendly and always willing to help.

Entertainment on board was superb as well as the resort day at Atlantis.

Good deals on board too.

Overall experience was great😄

Good cruise . . . But by aida545

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

I didn't appreciate the fact that we did not stop at Coco Cay. I understand that weather may not have permitted but we should have been compensated for the loss. We paid to go to 2 stops and should have been give a credit to go another time. Also your DJs need to be better. The music did not flow.

Enchantment of the Sea Cruise by sentraspecial

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

I have been on a couple of cruises and I think this was the second worst cruise.  We didn't get to stop at Coco Cay, (because of weather).  Had to change schedule for the days activities and that wasn't very interesting.  The activities was more for single persons. One of the pools was closed for repair.  There wasn't enough chairs for everyone to enjoy the sun.  In the solarium you couldn't get in there at all.  I think we should have gotten some kind of a discount on the trip since we didn't get to complete the whole cruise. Was very disappointed. All in all I would give you an 6 out of 10.

Made New Friends by dotsbird

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Truly enjoyed meeting new people.

The entertainment was quite good, especially the commedian and singers. However, the magicians were rather bad. It was like amateur night.

The food was okay. It was tasty but not really anything special. Perhaps that was because I only ate in the complimentary eating establishments.
