Review summary

This was my first cruise, and it couldn't have been a better experience. The ship was immaculate; the staff was friendly; the food was delicious. In the main dining room, we were seated at a large table with other people. We thought we'd hate it, but we loved getting to know them. Now I know why people who cruise tend to do it regularly. I'm already planning my next trip.

Our housekeeper was thorough and kind. She was never far and always available if we needed anything.

Ship tip

I recommend paying for the drinks package. A coffee, bottled water and a couple of drinks per day cover the cost. And definitely dine at Chops Grille one night. It's more than worth the small surcharge.

It poured the whole time we were there. We did a little shopping, then went back to the ship for lunch. Why pay at a restaurant on the mainland, when you can eat on the ship for free?

We met 2 couples many years ago at a big table like that. We have been to California to visit them and one couple has been to Canada to visit us. And we have also cruised together again.

Great ship to start your journey. The ships get bigger and better from there!
