We went on Enchantment for... by nursenessa2

Sail date: /
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas

We went on Enchantment for 4 day Bahamas cruise with our 5 kids ages 14,14,12,9, and 5. It was a great ship for the kids. Plenty to do to keep them busy but not so many things to choose from that it was overwhelming. Our room and all of the pools were very clean. Our room attendant and head waiter were amazing. All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the shows, the comedy routine, the Love and Marriage game show, and especially the parade of flags. The food was very good. We enjoyed all of the meals we had in the main dining room and windjammer. My older kids enjoyed the teen club, especially the scavenger hunt. My 5 year old loved adventure ocean so much that she cried when we left the ship because she said she would miss the staff there so much. This was our first cruise and I think we are hooked. We are going to plan another one for next year for just my husband and I.

Not Bad at All! by chinadoll07

Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Very solid option for a weekend getaway. I was thoroughly pleased considering the experience I had on Brilliance this past March. My family was happy and from the atmosphere the other passengers enjoyed themselves as well.

We had fun on this... by DP24

Sail date: /
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas

We had fun on this cruise. The ship itself was older but had a lot of charm. The staff, for the most part, were extremely courteous and friendly. As we normally do on our first of a cruise, we had dinner in the Chops Grill steak house. The steak was served raw and sent back. When they returned with the steak, it was still raw! We were not impressed with Chops Steakhouse. We have had much better dining experiences on other cruise lines. The only other thing I can say really negative about this cruise was the Guest Service desk. The last night on board we made sure our balance was zero and then went to bed. The next morning we have a letter stating that we owe money and to come to Guest Service desk before debarkation. I believe I stood in line for over an hour while two people behind the desk worked at a snails pace. There has to be a better system in place as we were not the only people who had to go through this. Ok enough negative talk. The ship was great and had a nice layout. We enjoyed shows and pools and hot tubs and the Viking lounge was great. Another nice thing was the casino was not as smoke filled as most ships are....for non smokers that is impressive. Great weekend cruise!

Just not my thing by RT2003

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Cruising was not for me. This ship was lovely but I could not appreciate the atmosphere. I was stepping out of my zone and failed big time. I will say this ship and crew tried but I was not converted.

Time to Retire by Pemberton248

I would not recommend this ship, especially if you’ve been on other ships. I was a little disappointed with the upkeep, but very happy with our service.

Enchantment of the seas was... by mabsback

Sail date: /
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas

Enchantment of the seas was a wonderful trip this week. The food was pretty good over all. We had a grand suite which was nice Lots of room to move around in. We did get to go to Coco Cay for about 30 minutes. They came by and said captain needed everyone back on board because the seas were getting too rough. That made me sad because it was the first time we had a cabana. I think it would have been nice if we could have stayed. Beach was very nice. We got to go on to Nassau since we had to leave Coco Cay. Spent the night and stayed till 8:30 the following night. Was able to get on and off ship all night if you wanted too. Personally prefer to be on ship after dark in Nassau. The next day was pretty nice. We hired a nice taxi driver Derick. He took us all over the island. If you have not seen Bel Mar yet it is a must see. Getting on and off ship was a breeze. We were off at 7:30 and through customs in no time Ship could use some updates. She is showing a little age on her. But overall she still looks pretty good.

Wonderful trip! We went... by darney

Sail date: /
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas

Wonderful trip! We went for relaxation and mission accomplished. I knew the Ship was smaller compared to the other RCCL ships we’ve sailed. It was just as lovely. I felt our balcony room was very spacious. The bathroom had been renovated and had lots of places to store things. The food in the dining room and at Chops was excellent as always. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I have to admit with a smaller ship there are quite a bit fewer people and you don’t feel rushed or in crowds all the time. Definitely more relaxing than in the larger ships!

Me and my girlfriend absolutely... by LexiN

Sail date: /
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas

Me and my girlfriend absolutely loved the cruise. We can’t stop talking about booking another one. The Muster drill took a little too long having to wait on everyone. Maybe next time they should go with the ketchup drill. Other than that,no complaints.

The ports of call were... by rdriese

Sail date: /
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas

The ports of call were amazing. Coco Cay is beautiful and I am excited to see what they do when the island construction is complete. On Nassau we went to Balmoral Island and chose the private Cabana and the value was stunning. We received a private Cabana, bottle of wine, chips, water, 2 alcoholic drinks and a huge lunch for $219! Not to mention the island is perfection. Our dining staff, Wayne and Rosario, deserve to be on a newer bigger ship. They were absolutely stellar. They made our dining experience memorable. Now for the bad. The ship is very old and not well maintained. I could not see out of our room window because it was so dirty. The room was very dusty and the floor was dirty when we checked in. The bathroom is exceptionally small. We have been in several bathrooms and state rooms now and this was the smallest. I didn't wash me legs or feet the entire trip because it was too small to bend down. The toilet always smells like urine. Speaking of smells, we often caught whiffs of sulfur smell throughout the ship (imagine a marsh in Savannah). This was a surprise cruise for my wife. If you are used to nice things, please stay away from this ship.

My experience with enchantment was... by CandaceB96

Sail date: /
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas

My experience with enchantment was pretty good. It was my 2nd cruise and it was my boyfriends first cruise. Our state room Dexter was good and always kept our room very nice/ clean. The food was average but I enjoyed it.. there’s so much to choose from and the cafeteria workers were very nice. They charged our card 58 for me and 58 for him for gratuity, plus parking in the garage is 85 -_- but if you go down the road they have another parking place that charges 65. The ship tries to make money anyway possible, they charge to open the wine bottles by the way... 14 dollars lol. I thought that was so ridiculous but the bartender gave us a break and just opened it. Overall great ship, there’s plenty of things to do. Many events. Can’t wait for my next cruise.

Won’t do it again by McCarty1988

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This was my first cruise and I do not plan on ever cruising again. We paid tons of money for different packages and thought that we would have a worry free vacation with our family, but that wasn’t so. Because we had 8 people in our party, we were not able to take all our pictures together. It was a afamily vacation with 7 adults and 1 child, but because we had to all stay in 4 different cabins, (how could we all fit in one?) they wanted us to pay $200 PER CABIN for us to take family pictures together. We were told the first day of the cruise that it would be fine, so we purchased one package and took our photos together. We were extremely excited about the photos and we couldn’t wait to get our disc at the end of the cruise. On the last night of the cruise however, we were told that we were told incorrectly by the other staff member and if we wanted the photos of our family, we would need to pay $600 more, $200 per cabin. It ruined our vacation because we didn’t take many pictures of our own thinking that we would have the pictures that they took for us. Now we have nothing to show for this experience which is heartbreaking because it will likely be the last family vacation that we get to take with my mother who has been battling cancer for almost 2 years now. Besides the cruise being over crowded and our day at Cocoa Kay being cut short when we had purchased a $280 bungalow, this was by far the biggest let down. I will never forgive Royal Caribbean for ruining this memory for my family. How can they expect a family traveling together to spend so much on a photo package when they have already spent so much on rooms and drink packages just to enjoy their trip? When is enough enough? We looked forward to this trip for so long, just to feel more stressed out once we were on the ship. Never again.

The food and staff were phenomenal. The boat rocked pretty badly everyday which didn’t help my pregnancy nausea but other than that the trip was great!
