Review summary

I would not recommend this ship, especially if you’ve been on other ships. I was a little disappointed with the upkeep, but very happy with our service.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
We ate at the Windjammer Buffet for lunch a couple of times. The food on th buffet was OK. If you got food from the grill, it was good. The buffet areas very crowded, regardless of when you went. The freestyle drink machines were constantly out of soda and ice. The ice cream machine area was disgusting! Broken cones all over the floor and ice cream spilled everywhere-not sanitary at all. I would recommend going back to an ice cream bar where adults MUST be present in order for the children to get ice cream. The main dining room food was very good, but the desserts needed some work. The profiteroles were frozen, the chocolate cake was dry and ice the apple pie filling was over cooked. The cheesecake was the best dessert we had.

Onboard Activities

The pool is TOO small for that ship. The water was cloudy and dirty. My son, who is 11, refused to get in because it was so gross. The rock wall and trampoline jump should be open longer hours, especially on sea days. We were unable to visit Coco Cay, therefore giving us an extra day at sea, and not a whole lot to do.

Service and Staff

Our room steward, Silvio was excellent!! I give him 10 stars! Our dinner wait staff, Lensen and Jayesh were amazing as well. All 3 of them took excellent care of us and we could not ask for better service. Too bad the rest of the staff was not as great as them.

Ship Quality

I think it is time to retire Enchanment. She’s an ok ship, beautiful in her younger years, as I was on her back in the late 90’s. She is quite rusty and squeaky. Some bathrooms had been remodeled, while others looked very old.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida Did not visit port

Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island) Did not visit port

The weather declined once we anchored and we were unable to visit this port. We were very disappointed, but understand that safety comes above all else. We are hoping to visit CocoCay in the future.

Nassau, Bahamas

The weather was absolutely gorgeous! The locals were very nice and not as pushy as I remember them in the 90’s, which was nice. We did a snorkeling excursion which was good.

Disembarkation

Crowded and slow! I think everyone decided to do the self carry with their luggage. It seemed poorly organized with the amount of people that were trying to disembark.
