Dirty and in need of repair. Toilets didn't always flush and ladies rooms were filthy and doors didn't always close properly.

There will always be kids. We went on Nieuw Amsterdam last March. I'm told it's for an older crowd which we are. You may enjoy it though since not that many kids. We loved the ship and the food was absolutely delicious. Buffet, main dining room and the Dive-In.
