Review summary

Very solid option for a weekend getaway. I was thoroughly pleased considering the experience I had on Brilliance this past March. My family was happy and from the atmosphere the other passengers enjoyed themselves as well.

Embarkation

Couldn't have been any smoother. I always arrive early and the staff was ready to receive us. There were no lines and we were able to hang out in the priority check in area. There was a brief delay before we could board but the cabins were ready at the designated times.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

We ordered room service, enjoyed Windjammer and had reservations at Chop's. I have no complaints but I will say this...Windjammer is just that at peak meal times, plan accordingly. We ate there only twice since we had little ones with us. The lines were massive... I'm not one to wake my 4 year old up at 6 a.m. to just grab breakfast... so room service was our solution.

Perfect as always!

No complaints here.

We enjoyed the headliner act... juggling and useless talents ;)

Children's Programs

Service and Staff

They really did go the extra mile. I felt welcomed and never as a burden. My stateroom attendant did seem like a newbie but that's ok.

Ship Quality

I found one corner in my cabin with dust...whoopdy-doo... lol. Everything else was in order. I do feel like they could manage the layout of Windjammer a bit better to afford passengers a better experience (uncovered food was passing through long lines for restocking the buffet line, also difficult for staff to keep the line tidy).

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our cabin was fine. I was only disappointed that I had to call to receive toiletries, linens and robes (I really just feel my attendant was a newbie). I had told my daughter about animals made of towels, her first time cruising plus she's a toddler... unfortunately we recieved only one animal on the final night. But it's all good!

Ship tip

My tip is enjoy yourself... this ship is not the newest in the fleet so manage your expectations accordingly. Avoid Windjammer at peak times lol.
