I had read a couple of bad reviews, but we were very pleased with the ship, the staff and the excursions

This was our third cruise and with Princess as well. We have been on the Ruby right after its refit in 2016, the Regal in 2017 with the family, both were in better shape overall. The Emerald is definitely in need of it’s dry dock appointment in March. The crew were fantastic; the meals were great (I tend to be on the plckie side) more then I could eat. Our room was clean and the steward was very friendly and helpful. The captain was wonderful and very friendly. My wife was able to engage him in conversation on a couple occasions. He was always chatting with the passengers and visible to the passengers. Overall it was a cruise we’ve come to expect from Princess Cruise lines

The ship was very nice the food was not We did not have any towel animals No adult comedy and the entertainment was lacking]

Emerald Princess provides a strong cruise to Hawaii with 5 days out, 5 days in the islands and 5 days back. The ship is a little tired on the interior, and the dining component oddly off its game on this particular cruise. It appears to have reverted to a time 3-4 years ago when Princess upgraded its menus and service much to our delight. The Crown Grill and SHARE are both 4star. The sailing was pleasurable even in rough(ish) seas and chilly air until the Islands. For cruisers who enjoy days at seas this is, was and will continue to be an excellent package. We trust the tweaks will be made.

No fault of Princess the weather was cold, ocean was rough 12’ waves! Too cold to be outside. Warmed up as we got near Hawaii but days of cold and rough seas. Crew was great! Entertainment was good. Fun games and classes. I prefer the Caribbean cruises.

It’s time to cruise during summer ir spring time ti Hawaii never in winter. Make the best you can out of any situation fine good in everything. Enjoy every day don’t stay in your cabin there’s a lot to see in this world

I just came back from the 15 day cruise, the food was great I like the international cafe and going to tea time at Bottollis. Things that were not so great was the entertainment it was done very poorly there was not much scheduled to do and when they did have shows in the princess theater there was not enough sits for everyone that cruiser would yell and cruse at each other for sits. I also try to join a active and stood in a line for an hour to sign up when the cruise director told me there was no more room. There was not room for many activities like decorating gingerbread house to making Lei’s. I hope that they really work on the entertainment piece.

Great food. Wonderful crew. Clean ship. Cabins needed upgrades. Overall we had a wonderful time.

PSA For anybody looking to make the usual “don’t cruise then” comments that I see on here, MOVE ALONG. That’s RUDE . Not everyone needs to agree with your opinion and everybody has the right to dislike things even if you do not. The ship is outdated but it was in very good shape . The only complaint I have about that was the painting and repairs going on often . As for the dining on this ship, half of the food was nearly inedible and half was great. The Canadian bacon was always almost PETRIFIED . Anything along the lines of beef with gravy carrots etc looked and tasted like Alpo dog food . The cheeses were all too soft and not very good quality. The fish was always great ,no fishy taste and never dry . The Alfredo sauce on their fettuccini was AMAZING . The mussels were dry. I had a bit of an issue with the repetitive meals in the buffet areas . It was a lot of the same things over and over again but slightly different . The entertainment was a bit boring ..only geared towards an elderly crowd. There was nothing for children on this ship except for a very amazing children’s room for my son to play in however there was nothing said to the parents of children left in there coughing away all over the toys and other children & sure enough my son caught that same cough . Everything was so formal on this ship all the time even on smart casual nights it was a bit hard to relax when I felt like I needed to dress up just to walk through the ship . One one occasion a woman waited in the laundry room for our load in the dryer to finish and immediately took it out and put it on top of the dryer. I was so disturbed that a stranger put her hands all over my clean laundry UNDERGARMENTS INCLUDED and then left it out for anybody to see and it’s just the idea that it’s not anybodies buisness to be going through my stuff I don’t need to be worried if my things are all there or not . I was literally back for my laundry in the 35 minutes it approximately takes .. this woman flat out waited for the moment it finished . When I called guest services their response was “we can’t control everybody on the ship” . I called to ask that there be a sign written on paper and taped in the laundry room at the very least it wasn’t as if I was calling just to complain ,I had a valid request to help fix the situation because I was uncomfortable leaving my laundry behind after that . Disembarkation was a bit of a nightmare for us . There was a major lack of communication when it came to staff . Our son had to visit the medical center the morning prior to disembarkation morning . The medical center said that our medical papers and bill would be delivered to our room in the afternoon . Mid-day I went to guest services. She called down to the med center and was told my papers would arrive in the evening . Fast forward to 7pm ,I called the guest services desk and was told there was still time and my papers would be delivered that night . I woke up on disembarkation morning and my husband had to go down to guest services to insist that they get and give us our papers . Obviously this wasn’t something I wanted to deal with when I woke up as we were one of the first groups to be leaving the ship . Speaking of , that was another communication breakdown . I called as soon as we received luggage tags to our room to change the group so that we could leave earlier . I went down to the desk the next morning to confirm and get my new luggage tags. The night before disembarkation I called guest services to confirm the meeting area for red 2 and was told it was in the michaelangelo dining room ... WRONG. When we had went to get those medical papers I was told no groups meet in the michaelangelo dining room . Our room steward was great. He accommodated our two year old and his messes well . All of the stewards in the hall made friends with our son and went out of their way to make him smile and say hi each time they saw him on this trip

All in all a nice cruise. As far as food and activities, emerald cannot compare to its sister ship, Ruby Princess. One other thing, the internet connections sucks. We purchased unlimited internet package for the whole trip and paid a bundle for that. There were several days we can’t load anything at all. A waste of money.

Wonderful experience two weeks for me that's too long not enough to do in the ship eat and drink a lot spend lots of money

Went on 5 day cruise Los Angeles CA to Cabo San Lucas Mexico. This is a mixed review. It was worth it to purchase both the beverage packages the alcoholic and the soda package. I used the soda package and always ordered the $5.50 non alcoholic drinks. I averaged about 6-8 of those drinks each day. Once in while I had a soda. My wife had the alcohol package and ordered the $12.00 whiskey and averaged 5-9 drinks a day plus soda one in while. We added it all together and saved $250.00. 5 stars for the beverage packages. All the bars we went to they we all very nice only had 2 issues at the bar they were not organized and had no idea who was next and the passengers do not care who is next as long as they get served. Bartenders would get a 5 star. The buffet servers that bring you drinks give them a 1 star. They were doing a great job until we get port once we were at Cabell their service dropped off until the cruise was over very disappointed they were so good the first two days but once we hit Port their service was almost zero. Club class dining was excellent five stars to them they were great very professional quick-service very personable and even when they saw us on the ship they said hello to us. We were on Deck nine dolphin dick room 401 Club class mini Suite it was very nice well-maintained clean and the person handling our room was excellent five stars to our person that held the room. I was very disappointed when we first got there at the cruise Center I purchased Club class mini Suite which includes priority boarding they even give me a little slip that said priority however there was no priority boarding line no priority boarding assistance no one knew what anything was priority I was just treated as a regular room on the ship. The ship is very nice however the outside needs to be painted in many places inside is very elegant sometimes hard to move around the ship

A pretty elegant ship, though not as elegant as the Regal. Resembles the Crown Princess quite a bit and has a super easy floor plan to navigate. One of the coolest parts is they have a door to access the very front of the ship so you can take a Titanic photo if you so desire. Would definitely take it again!

Nice size cabin. The staff is hit and miss some are friendly some are not. The internet is ok not great. The ship is decorated very nicely for the holidays. Cabo is very pretty. Bed is very comfortable. Food is average. Trying crown grill tonight, looking forward to it.

Went at end of November. On a sailboat in sea of Cortez on dec 1! Awesome cruise.

We just got in from Cabo via the Emerald Princess. We had a wonderful time on the ship. Our steward Marlon took great care of us, all staff were very helpful and happy. The food is good. We ate at the buffet (ok), the pizza was very good, the main dining room was good and the Crown Grille was great. All shows were entertaining and plenty of trivia activities. This is not a party ship, even though it was a quick 5 day Cabo trip, which is why I love Princess. The ship is large enough to not fill crowded but not so large that you get lost. Very relaxing and fun.

Overall, this was a great holiday cruise. The ship is showing its age and there was a musty mildew smell in the hallways on deck 8 and on the port day, there was a heavy sewage smell in the Lotus Spa and that Lido deck. Not sure what was happening but it seemed to resolve itself after a few hours. All of the pools were heated and that was great. The jacuzzis were not super warm and they were mostly filled with children. Service was spectacular as always!

We are avid cruisers and normally cruise Carnival and NCL. This ship was old and dated. Service left a lot to be desired. The food was terrible and don’t even waste your money on the supposed gourmet dinning experience Share. It was horrible the food was less then edible and that was about the only experience that you will get for an extra $29.00 per person. We complained and told sorry no refunds. The buffet food would have been better for free. That’s how bad this paid dinning room Share was. Princess nickels and dimes you at every turn. We will keep our money with Carnival and NCL for our 3-4 cruises per year. Princess gets two thumbs down.

Ship was dated and in need of refurbishment, food was almost ineddidable, when you went to the service desk with complaints they were of no help. Paid for Share restaurant that was promised to be gourmet and it was anything but. Paid $78.00 for internet that 99 % of the time didn’t work.
