I got sick on the first day of the cruise, the air conditioning between the int'l flight and cruise ship brought on a nasty upper respiratory issue. Other than that, the cruise was lovely but I think I would have preferred a smaller number of people. There was never enough seating in the Piazza for anything going on there. It was very crowded and for the very first time on any of our cruises, there were actually really rude people (those cruising). I was really surprised.

This hit the highlights of the Mediterranean which is what we were looking for.

This cruise was actually 25 days. It did not end in Barcelona. Many people got off and just as many got back on to take the second half of the cruise.

We did a land tour through Princess prior to the cruise. Madrid, Valencia and Barcelona. Fabulous. Then the cruise. I would give everything an A+ except for the food/menus and the entertainment in the Princess Theater.

Liked doing a cruise of Mediterranean but will do land based travel there from now on.

Overall, I would give it a B or B- because I was with some very fun friends and that, of course, made up for the disappointing pieces of the trip.

Worthy adventure- 11 days felt like a longer time but glad to get an "overview" or introduction to the region

We had a great time on this cruise and it’s a great way to visit several cities and countries in one trip.

Dining room staff were great and entertaining. Our cabin was always clean.

The nicest cruise I've been on to date. The ship, the balcony, the staff, the food, it was all wonderful not to mention getting to visit so many fabulous places in Europe! Alternating a day at sea with a day in a port would have been nice and a bit of a nicer pace! It was over too soon.

We had a great trip with wonderful excursions. We celebrated our 39th Anniversary and my retirement

Well, the food isn't the best on this cruise, something over and over on buffet, but the dinners in Michelangelo was very good. Drinks at crooners bar Martini delicious.

Overall, the actual cruise portion of our trip was highly disappointing. Visiting the ports was the best part for food and memories.

We really enjoyed the ship, staff, and ports. Our only complaints were lack of variety in the on board activities, and the air quality in our room but otherwise we loved our trip!

As a sceptic & following the wives wishes I was amazed by what was on offer, especially the charm of the old Towns.. We will visit again!

I’m glad I did not listen to all the negative comments that I had read on here about the ship and how old it was. Yes the food was not that great but I had lots of fun meeting people from all over the world. And the ship was in perfect shape

Anyone interested in doing the Mediterranean cruise, just do it. You will not be sorry. We loved every port and the countryside is something you have never seen before.

Room E308 Travelled 31/8 to 14/9 on Emerald Princess. Cruise was great, unfortunately missed Mykonos due to the weather ☹️ Entertainment ok, only saw 2 shows, but they were great! Trivia was good but repeated, now we understood why some teams got the high points! Our cabin steward John was the best we had! Food was mostly good in the New Market place. We tried Share, Crown Grill, Planks BBQ and Salty Dog grill in the wheelhouse bar. All were good, and in the order written. Try Share if you get the chance, worth the US29 each cover charge! Our room was great, but very noisy, be aware of this! It’s opposite the galley for the trolleys plus the outside door underneath on deck 7 bangs when people go through it, so it was all hours. Princess were fantastic and when we complained gave us an OBC and speciality meal to cover the inconvenience, excellent customer relations and dealt with brilliantly! We will definitely be back, but not in that room or Deck!😀 Barcelona to Athens is a wonderful cruise and definitely one to do with Princess!😀👍🛳

Fabulous staff and service, as we've come to expect on Princess ships. We're used to this class of ship but Emerald was new for us with some venues we've not seen before. Food in upcharge dining venues is an area where we'd prefer Princess concentrated on quality, not quantity. All new ports for us but we skipped the major cities and went for more uncommon excursions. None of them were outstanding but there was nothing to fault with them either. A very good ship, good captain, great staff, and a lovely break with no complaints.

Little sceptical of doing a large cruise but to be honest you didn't notice the number of passengers on the ship. Usual scene of kids taking over the swimming pools and dive bombing and splashing but there isn't a lot you can do about that. Plenty of sun loungers during the day. Plenty to do during the evening. Be prepared for rude people who leave a mess when they have eaten and expect people to be at their beck and call and pander to their every whim.
