Little sceptical of doing a large cruise but to be honest you didn't notice the number of passengers on the ship. Usual scene of kids taking over the swimming pools and dive bombing and splashing but there isn't a lot you can do about that. Plenty of sun loungers during the day. Plenty to do during the evening. Be prepared for rude people who leave a mess when they have eaten and expect people to be at their beck and call and pander to their every whim.

We used the buffet style dining most of the time and was very pleased with the quality and range of food. Great to share a table and chat to people from all over the world. We purchased a drinks package - just soda - but did drink wine and beer. Surprised at how expensive it was!!

We saw a couple of stage shows and went to one of the trivia quizes. Enjoyed both. Timing of the big shows in the theatre was either too early or too late.

The ship had recently come out of dry dock so surprised to see it being painted and varnished whilst at sea.

The cabin was perfect for the 2 of us. Single beds, very comfortable. Bathroom sufficient size. Plenty of hanging and storage space for clothes and cases. Air conditioning worked very well. Telly was a good size ....
We took a boat ride round to the other side of the island and visited Oia, the area with the famous blue domed churches. Beautiful! A must see area. On our return we took the cable car back to the port. Stunning views of the area.
We had been to this port before so only got off to visit the supermarket. But the town is lovely and quaint - cobbled streets with plenty of local shops and restaurants. Don't forget to stop by at the fruit stalls on the way back to the shop.
It is a port - what more can you say! Lovely town square with a big church if you like that sort of thing. Little dissapointed by the Neptune fountain which wasn't working.
We took a trip offered by the ship as we wanted to see Sorrento and Pompeii. A few unadvertised stops at a wood carving place and, a limoncella factory. Not what I had signed up for. Sorrento was a little underwhelming - I think my view was tainted by photoshopped images on Google. But Pompeii was very informative and interesting. Trip didn't represent good value for money at all. Entrance to Pompeii was around $20 so we paid $90 EACH to be driven around the coastal roads.
When we first started cruising we to where blown away by the actions of people on board with there totally couldn't careless attitude by some people ..who for one pile there plates high like they are going to starve then push there plate away still full ...
The mess that is left behind is discussing surely you wouldn't leave a restaurant like that with food on the tables and floor and the waste of food was unbelievable...
People know it's not going to left like that and cleaned up however it still is a eye opener and totally unnecessary and shameful for an adult to behave like a spoiled brat when something small happens !!!!
We are just about to have our 25th cruise have to to Great places and meet some awesome people from all over the world the staff are hardworking and are there for you to ensure your vacation is awesome...
If only some people would wake up and realise they are not your personal butlers and have a thought for other guests !!!!!
This was the first ship by Princess, that we cruised an totally enjoyed it,perfect size and perfect cruise,but then I had never had a bad cruise yet and don't expect to have such a thing !
Glad you enjoyed it. This ship is actually considered a mid-size ship at only 113,000 GT and 3,100 or so passengers and is our favorite size for cruising.
