Wonderful Experience by mhu325

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Emerald Princess / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

We had a great time! Scenery was breath taking...took lots of pictures so we  won't forget the beauty.

The weather was not great, few rainy days and few cold days in the high 40's and 50's. My wife had to buy heavier clothing on board in order to keep warn going on shore for the day.

First Princess Cruise by Cruiser712

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Emerald Princess / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

The favorite part of the cruise was visiting all the countries and viewing the beautiful countryside.  The staff was always very pleasant and went out of their way to make our cruise more enjoyable.  The food was very good and a great selection was provided every day.  Our cabin was kept clean and service was good.  We would have liked a chance to dance in the evening with music for ballroom dancing which I had expected a Princess Cruise to have.

Very Interesting Cruise by ltcfrankv

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Emerald Princess / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

The landscape in Norway was breath taking and reminded me a little of the vistas in Alaska. The weather was not great, but, acceptable. TRhe ship was well appointed, and, as usual, the galley served up some fantastic meals.

11 Night Mediterranean & Canary Islands Emerald Princess by chianese

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Emerald Princess / Destination: Europe - Western Europe

Of all the princess cruses we have taken this was the worst.. we were embarrassed for princess for the entertainment they provided on this cruse. They were one act only and most were poorly done. The meat, both chicken and beef were tough and stringy.  We could not believe we were on a princess cruse.

Cruise to South Hampton by rickhayley

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Emerald Princess / Destination: Transatlantic

Cruise was ok, I was not happy when I first got on board because princess had changed  my cabin number. So my luggage tags were not correct as I had preprinted my tags off the princess web site and it took hours to get my luggage. When I went to the service desk the employee named "Victoria" did not seem to care about my luggage and when I asked her why my cabin got changed she just wanted to know if I booked it through princess ? Not sure why that would matter but she was not very nice :( . The cabin I did end up in was nice. But I went from the 12th floor to the 8th floor .  All other staff was very nice and helpful . Food was good . We did not stop in the Azores because of weather . Not sure if I will sail princess again .

Transatlantic Adventure by careyloves2trav

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Emerald Princess / Destination: Transatlantic

This was my 9th Transatlantic cruise and first with Princess. Will probably be my last with them. The Emerald Princess was an ok ship, nothing special. The production company had to be one of the poorest I have seen. The female lead singer was very weak in all categories. Don't know who or why they would hire her.

The staff on the ship was polite and nice.

Our first port was cancelled by the captain because of a deep depression in the Northern Atlantic and he wanted to get us to our second port of Lisbon without having to deal with rough seas. A lot of people were upset but he mentioned it was for the safety of the passengers and crew. We never experienced any rough seas into Lisbon so I think he over reacted. I have been on other Trans Atlantic cruises that had rougher seas and we still stopped in the Azores.

The food on the ship wasn't anything special. Princess's breads and pastires have to be the worst of any cruise line. The meats were always fatty and the soups were salty.

My worst experience was with the future cruise person, Bernadette. She was very rude and not pleasant at all. She in fact scolded me for whistling while I was at a terminal checking out future cruises. I wasn't loud at all and in fact, another person was next to me and she wasn't bothered at all by it and was stunned when Bernadette came out and told be she didn't allow whistling in her area. I felt she treated me like a child. Of course I didn't book a future cruise with her and told her she needs to find another job.

Perfect Vacation by laraclark

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Emerald Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was our first time to cruise and we were definitely not disappointed! The ship was amazing and the entire staff of the emerald princess took care of our every need. Lots of stuff to do for the entire family. Our 8 year old daughter loved the kids club and our 14 year old son had a blast in the teen club. The ports were great. Can't wait for our next cruise!

Ship: Emerald Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Western

the cruise was probably one of the best of the 36 cruises that we have been on the entertainment was great and the buffet and dining room food was great. Would recommend Princess cruises to everyone.  The only problem was a short shower and and small shower.  The balcony was great.

This was14 days of ENJOYMENT.  ThTe whole Princess Staff was excellent; service was always with a smile and a THANK YOU to you!!.  Great shows and the Trivia games were great "50 & 60 Rock n Roll", "Motown" and "Media". Embarkation went smoothly no wait once we're in the actual building.  The ports of call were great; beautiful landscape, climate and the water was just emerald blue.  The Emerald Princess is a great ship to call your home.

Loved it by safawcett

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Emerald Princess / Destination: Caribbean

I had a very good time. The food was excellent. The entertainment was good. This was my 1st cruise. I'd do things differently if I have the opportunity to be able to go on another cruise. I would pre-book some excursions I want to go on on the islands. Some excursionns were full on the 1st day of cruise.

My 7 Night Western Caribbean Cruise on the Emerald Princess by mgrubbs6

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Emerald Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Even though, my wife and I have been on a number of cruises dating back to our first in the 1990's, this was actually our first time on a Princess Cruise Line ship.  It was a good cruise not a great one Nervous. The food and service on the ship was good but not great (with the exception of the main dining room).  The crew was a hit or miss, some very friendly, others very indifferent Sad.  However our stateroom was always clean and stocked with fresh towels Happy.  With exception of theater performers, the musical entertainment was average Surprised.  But I will reserve judgement on this cruise line until I have travel on another one of their ships Wink.

14 Night Caribbean Adventurer by goens

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Emerald Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Embarkation was handled efficiently, we were able to get to our cabin quickly and our luggage came shortly after.  Probably the fastest we have ever boarded.

The ship personnel was very courteous, helpful and friendly.  As usual, the food was excellent--our waistlines proves it!

Relaxing vacation during Spring Break by haassmith

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Emerald Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Despite being Spring Beak for a large number of young adults, we still had a relaxing and peaceful vacation. The springbreakers tended to congregate (fill) the main deck pool and pack the adjacent bar, but the beauty of a large ship is that there are many other places to go that are quiet and more adult. A few springbreakers came to these quiet areas and they were interesting to talk to mature and well mannered. I'm sure there was some rowdy behavior but none that we were aware of. There is truly something for everyone on a cruise.

Relaxing cruise....just avoid the Spring Break crowd by arb1155

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Emerald Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Cruises are usually what you make them.  You can do as much or little as you want.  I did like the ship, but it did not have any type of cool water slides or rock climbing wall.  Wasted space on bocce and a putting green.

It had 5 pools, one which was always overcrowded with 18-22 yr olds on Spring break.  Hey, been there, done that, but there are plenty of places to get away from the crowds too.  The rooms were great, food was great.  Deck staff to get drinks was pretty lacking....I like to be waited on...at least on a cruise.    There was a huge outdoor movie screen showing concerts and movies...under the stars.  It was pretty nice, and easy to see, even during the sunlight hours.

Wonderful Get-a-way by bfaithparker

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Emerald Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We sailed on the Emerald, our first cruise ever.  We planned it to be short, only one stop, in case we didn't like it, or got bored. etc.  It was a beautiful ship, the service was superb (thank you to Nadiia Ursatii and Paul Cambel).  We sat with nice people for our meals, met a small group at the non-denominational church service that was held on the Sunday am we attended.  That was very special for us as  we didn't expect to find a church service.  Food was outstanding (as we had heard it would be), a very exciting time for us.

Big Smile

very rude customer service by munnymack

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Emerald Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Luciana cristina DoVale, customer service agent with her not so friendly nor apologetic attitude for sending us all over the ship just to up grade from our soda card to the all beverage card, than called me rude. They would not give clear instructions what we needed to do so it would have been one trip, very unhappy with them. I will see if we get the 75.00 returned on our card that cheap cruises said they will give. The food staff and our room  was well taken care of. Just not a very friendly customer service crew.

Mike's Birthday by evolaruba

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Emerald Princess / Destination: Caribbean

This cruise was amazing.  If you are into slot machines this was the cruise to take. There was a lot of people and energy in the casino (this was a gambling cruise) My husband and I were given a card for free alcoholic beverages or soft drinks), to our surprise the casino sent us chocolate covered strawberries twice to our room., also 2 bottles of champagne.  The food   was good, and so was the best pizza in  the sea.  During the day we relaxed and seen two great latest movies in the theatre.  On the last day there was a raffle at 11:00PM for a 7 day cruise for two, and guess whose name came up- Dora Cudemo- .  Have already made reservation for the Mexican Riviera cruise.  Life is Good

Great Ship by dhorneck1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Emerald Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Beautifully updated, large ship with plenty of pools, whirlpools and deck chairs. Took a tour of one of the kitchens and it was spotless. First night dining was slow, but was speedy from there on in. Nice lounges and 2 happy hours, with buy one, get one for $1, every day. Very enjoyable!
