Review summary

We sailed on the Emerald, our first cruise ever.  We planned it to be short, only one stop, in case we didn't like it, or got bored. etc.  It was a beautiful ship, the service was superb (thank you to Nadiia Ursatii and Paul Cambel).  We sat with nice people for our meals, met a small group at the non-denominational church service that was held on the Sunday am we attended.  That was very special for us as  we didn't expect to find a church service.  Food was outstanding (as we had heard it would be), a very exciting time for us.

wonderful service by Nadiia Ursatii and Paul Cambel, was perfect.

Onboard Activities

we liked the movies, both indoors and outdoors.

We did appreciate that the comedian they hired was not "off-color" and didn't use profanity. That would have ruined it for us.

I was glad we got the interior room. Friends were horrified that we would pick the interior but we wanted to save money and try it out. It was very dark for sleeping, hardly felt any movement at all. I loved it, clean, pretty spacious for two people, I would stick with the interior for another cruise.

Ship tip

loved it, very new, clean, updated.

We did not book an excursion and ended up spending the day on the beach. We really wanted to snorkel, brought our own gear, but didn't really know where to go. Ocean was choppy so we just stayed on the beach - which was nice. But later we found out we could have snorkeled by the dive shop for free, just didn't know ahead of time. Ask questions!!!!

I have been on several cruise lines, the only one that has ant non denominational service is Princess. I do appreciate this, nice to feel at home on Sundays. Good job Princess.
