Great Cruise by ddcolina363

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

We had a great time.....minus our Fish Extender being stolen and the possible man overboard where we had to spend over an hour at our muster station at 11pm with 2 cold and tired kids.....but the rest of the cruise was fabulous

Anniversary was magical! by smith30

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Wonderful experience for our 10 year anniversary, sans children. Plenty to do for the grown-ups, from the lounges, to the shows, to the adults-only pools and beach area, to an AMAZING dinner experience at Palo. Don't let the fact that it is "Disney" sway you from going!

Disney Magic vacation by jamesday1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Great cruise although it is a notch below the bigger disney ships (dream and fantasy) in overall entertainment value. Food is very good on board but not so much on their private island. Staff is friendly and helpful and the shows were exceptional, especially the newTangled show and Dream. The first show was not too good though which mostly the entertainment director talking and a few disney character bits. The selection of movies was alsovery good although the movie theatre is quite cramped compared to the dream and fantasy. I must say I would book this cruise again but not from .i purchased the cruise from a month before the cruise departure and they never sent me the cruise documents or luggage tags. When I called a week before the cruise they said the would send it regular mail instead of FedEx and needless to say I never received tem which was a big inconvienience. They also failed to send my castaway numbers to Disney so I did not receive all the perks of being a return Disney cruise customer. And they charge a $25 booking fee which is not the case when you book directly with Disney or Costco.

Not what I was expecting... by sjweber123

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Your advertisement was a miss lead as the advertisement/s were much better that the actual cruise. There were so many issues I don't know where to begin. Pools are very very small, my kids did not enjoy the crowded pools. The food was not good in the Cabanas Restaurant. Esp. breakfast food. The other restaurants it was OK. The hamburgers that were served around the pool were cold every time I had one. The weather was too ruff to enter the key west and for everyone's safety the ship could not pull into port. I could understand that but their was no refund offered and no additional entertainment offered. Very boring day was had out to sea.  Castaway Cay was over rated to what it really was. Over all I would never do a Disney Cruise again.

Disney Magic by cmdajd1020

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Hospitality was excellent.  Clean lines of the ship was excellent.  Food was great, but would have liked to see more choices on the children's menu..  The lines to see the characters went very smooth, and was a minimal wait.

Amazing!!!!! by ncolejacobson

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This was the best cruise and vacation ever!!! If you have children and are a child at heart I highly recommend this cruise. The shows were awesome!! The food and the service was outstanding. Lots of games and activities all day. The staff was energetic and fun the entire cruise. Castaway cay was beautiful, and BBQ lunch was great!! The character meetings were great because of the small number of people in comparison to the parks it meant seeing them with ease. Just all around fun, didn't want to leave!!!!!

My family and I was on the Magic for the holidays, and this was a great way to bring in the New Year.  There was something to do for every age and the food was excellent.

The cruise was great except the second day on board our bathroom drain over fliwed and had sewage water fliooding our cabin carpet. This made the trip very unclean and uncomfrontable.

Excellent experience for my daughters by sicho

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

My daughters wanted to live in the cruise ship forever. Great for family vacation with young children.

If you want, you can have excursion out of the ship, or stay on board all the time. It is up to you.

Stateroom keeping host was very good. He cleaned the room at least 2 times a day.

Best family vacation!!! by jduenas04

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Our kids did not want to leave the ship. We got lots of pictures with mostly all characters. We got to do the princess and frozen greet and meet. Those were not announced but we saw them and found out we need to get a ticket for it. There was no extra charge but you did need a reservation. That is the only thing I dislike because it was our first time on a Disney cruise, so we didn't know. Our room hostess made cute towel folding for the kiddos and left chocolates. Our Dinner server and his assistant who were with us from day one, really were awesome. When I was too full for dessert, he still would bring mini dessert for me. The shows were awesome. The kids club was also pretty cool. They have this service were at dinner the kids can go to the club while you finish up dinner. We enjoyed the grand Caymans and Disneys own private island. Over all we had a blast and we can't wait do it again.

5 day disney magic by bjszabo98

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Loved the Disney Magic 5 day Cruise.  The balcony rooms are big on Deck 6, lots of storage, Cabin Stewart Cita was such a happy & friendly person, Food is the best on Disney (35th cruise so we know), Broadway entertainment with college  MBA stars rated best in the Industry and especially LOVED that formal night is OPTIONAL, we did not need to bring dress clothes with us! By keeping the formal clothes at home gave us more room in our luggage for Christmas gifts for the grand kids. No complaints on this cruise, it rocked.  Happy

of all cruise lines Disney is absolutely the tops! by schieferecke

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Caribbean - Western

If you have children this is absolutely the best cruise line. Btw parents or grand parents if you think you can relax to peace and quiet, think again. You want to make the most of the cruise, you are not bored your on the go. The shows are top notch dont miss any of them. Other cruise lines seems to be hard to find much to do except but this isnt the case with Disney. It was amazing

Excellent. It was our family reunion by claritasamalya

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

It was our family reunion, we had a ball, but the last day of our cruise food was cold, people were rude, not the customer service, but some of the waiters were rushing us through our meal, and what we had to go through just to get off the boat was ridiculous.  I lost my sweater and everyone was giving me the wrong information to lost and found., other than that I had a great time

Not for older people without children. by jrgvgg

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

I am uncertain who to blame, Disney or the port of Miami,  but the check-in and disembarkation processes were horrible. There was one line after another. On returning to Miami we did not get off the ship until after 10 AM. Then the line for customs stretched as far as you could see. There was only two lines open at customs to check the entire ship. The rest of the cruise was just ok. The balcony room was very small. The mattress was a very thin piece of foam on a solid platform. You could hardly turn around in the bathroom. On a more positive note, the staff were very pleasant and the food and entertainment were good. And, there were hundreds of screaming, undisciplined children everywhere.

Great time with Family by BostonPaula

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Paid a lot more for this cruise than many others that I have taken with Princess, Carnival and Norwegian.  Dining room experience not great.  Food not the best.  Disappointed they changed the alcohol policy after my final payment.
