The Crown is a fantastic ship. I particularly like the fact that it's not gaudy, not full of irritating colors and not a carnival at sea. Instead the colors are muted, the wood trim is elegant and the crew and staff are well trained and extremely obliging. Try the Crown Grill at least one night.

If going to Glacier Bay, have breakfast in room & view glaciers from comfort of your own balcony. Park Rangers board the ship & provide narration that can be heard on TV Channel 45. Beautiful classical music plays between narrations & assists in communing with nature at this pristine spot.

The cafe and bakery were the BEST - - everything fresh and the coffee was superb. Get a coffee card and you get an insulated Princess mug free!

Nice decor. Quiet and serious cruise. Perfect for honeymooners but not for party people.

For the fastest move between decks use stairs, or go to mid-ships elevators for quickest response to your button pushing.

Look for color differences in port and starboard side hall carpet. Deck E had blue berries starboard, red berries port.

Take early seating, Traditional Dining, we got a table in a corner, by a window with a wonderful view. Had great wait staff, not rushed, remembered our preferences. If we didn't finish all the wine, bottle was served next night. Great Food. Time to go to the first show in the Princess Theater.

The Crown Princess is a fantastic ship... there is so much to do, or nothing at all if you just want to relax. even though there were thousands of people on the cruise.. you never felt like you were in a crowd... many times you were in areas of the ship where you didn't see anyone..lol Great food!

Food was average in dining room but our service was slow. Our waiter couldn't get it together, spent about 1 1/2 hours nightly getting our food. Buffet was always fresh and good and easy to go thru during the day. Breakfast was fast service and delicious. We were five high school friends traveling and would take this cruise again as it was a lot of fun and everyone was courteous and helpful. Our room attendent was great and kept our room clean every day. Our favorite was Dan, the assistant cruise director. He kept us totally entertained with his wonderful humor.

Figure out where you want to go in relation to your stateroom. Use the hallways that run the length of the ship to avoid excess stair climbing or u-turns. Order your omlette, then start browsing through the rest of the breakfast food available.
