Bucket List - Alaskan Cruise

Sail Date: August 29, 2015

Reviewed: 1 year ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

Took 7 day Alaskan Cruise departing from Seattle. Went with another couple - both celebrating anniversaries, nice to get recognition from the cruise line ( balloon decoration, welcome sign on our cabin door, and special chocolate dessert). Rough seas on the first day made it rough for some people but we were good. Enjoyed the catamaran/van excursion at the tiny town of Haines. Our guide was very personable. We did see bears eating salmon at the river head, even though far away. We set up our own personalized van tour with Ketchikan TourCab which turned out great. Loved the good food onboard, of course, ate too much!

Cruise Photos

Cabin / Stateroom Cabin is on Riviera deck, top cabin deck, right below the popular 24/7 Horizon Court, alway open eating areas, so we heard chairs being moved on the deck above us at all hours. Also felt the sway of the boat more during the rough seas on our first day at sea. Nice to be open adjoining gate between balcony doors with our family next door, seemed more spacious balcony then as well as easier to visit together.

Tip

Take early seating, Traditional Dining, we got a table in a corner, by a window with a wonderful view. Had great wait staff, not rushed, remembered our preferences. If we didn't finish all the wine, bottle was served next night. Great Food. Time to go to the first show in the Princess Theater.
