You must really like Italian food and culture to fully enjoy the Costa Deliziosa experience.
Very few of the crew speak English so there is a language barrier. Food was lousy at buffet. If you want anything other than water, be sure to purchase a beverage package. Be sure to take out insurance. The hospital is just awful and sure you will need to go back several times. I was at the hospital prior to 11am which is their closing. Because I had to wait for the doctor which brought me 20 min past 11:00, when I left and got charged an extra $60 for overtime which was not my fault. BUY INSURANCE !!
Enjoy every moment and go to shore and see how others live and have to offer.
Be careful where you go on the ship. There was an odor like sewage in the casino. third floor and near the buffet.
Enjoy the ship, have fun, participate with the animation team and do not miss the wonderful shows
Prepare to have fun with the entertainment group. They will make you laugh and have fun dancing.
Very budget option. Fits it's 3.5* rating.
My tip for sailing on the Costa Deliziosa is NOT TOO!!!! It's a horrible experience and you will be throwing your money away. Stay with Celebrity, Princess or Royal Caribben.
Obvious by comments on this page that Costa don't care, I had unfortunately booked 2 cruises on the same ship the Deliziosa , one I went on in September and the other booked for December 1st, the only saving grace was I was eating in Costa Club as a Diamond level passenger as service and entertainment was very poor. Imagine when I boarded for my December cruise to be told I could not have the Costa Club dining and I was to eat at 9.30, I asked to speak to a manager, was refused and eventually met up with 2 girls one a supposed superviser both verbally assaulted me wanting me to sign a piece of paper saying I would not be claiming a refund, I went to leave the ship got blocked by 3 security men, but eventually got off the ship collected my case and returned home, without signing my rights away. Surprise, surprise Costa have not responded to my e mail so beware don't book with Costa their benefits to keep you loyal are non existant.
Don't book it
Be nice and polite towards the staff and you get the same back

Whatever you do avoid booking a trip with this cruise line, they are sadly no longer the company they used to be. If you want to pay additional charges for everything on top of the expense of the trip, feel free. Your money is better spent else where.
Take Gravol for sure and dont expect a bonanza of variety in food offered even in the dinning room.
Insist on your seating selection at booking time
Seriously at this point I would say don't go that is my tip. I don't plan on taking another cruise on Costa. I've gone from always recommending to telling people not to go
Deliziosa is the good size ship with very experienced personnel. The albatros restaurant is good from Breakfast to dinner.
