Very pleasant cruise by tbouchard

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Costa Deliziosa / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

We enjoyed our cruise but while in vacation, we did not appreciate having to ask everyday for something missing in the room. We have been on 14 cruises up to now and it is the first time the room service is unsatisfactory.

Great itinerary. So so company. by dougandjoan

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Costa Deliziosa / Destination: Transatlantic

Skip Costa unless the itinerary is unique. This was our 2nd time on Costa and we were constantly reminded why it has been over 15 years since our last time.

Most disappointing cruise ever. by katrinadrew69

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Costa Deliziosa / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

Extremely disappointed. They changed itinerary under the pretence of dangerous weather however, I not anyone else we meet could find any weather report to support the claim. Additional passengers got on ship the d day after we were suppose to set sail. We were credited 100 Euros for our disappointment. Really!! We traveled further than most passengers. Ruined honeymoon. Costa never again. Untrust worthy company.

Disappointed by MinjaNam

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Costa Deliziosa / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

I really disappointed that the shore excursion in Dubrovnik Tour what I pre-applied and paid. (Order Number : 744651, for 3 people) The guide didn't show up on that date and time. I already claimed via phone about this but they never answered to me. They said they would answer to me after check local travel agent, but they never got back to me about the result. I mentioned them for refund. This experience makes me that I will be never on board Coasta again. And overall service also worst among my cruise experience tens of times.

If this was our first cruise, we would never go again. by annsebay2006

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Costa Deliziosa / Destination: Caribbean - Western

If this was our first cruise, we would never go on another. Buffets were the best part of the cruise and these were lousy. Hospital was a terrible experience. Should have meds in different languages. Our meds came with no instructions. We were taking one by mouth that was suppose to be dissolved in water which we found out from another patient. Dr has no bedside manners.

Very Nice, love the animation crew. The young men that cleaned the rooms were fantastic. the food was great and the ship was very clean. the workers on board the ship were polite and very professional at all times. Please continue to treat your employees with GREAT respect. They are our future and are all trying to make a decent life for themselves and there families.

Costa Deliziosa Jan 13 2018 10 day Caribbean Cruise by Mishelle

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Costa Deliziosa / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We had many customer service issues. None of which should have happened. The great banana hunt! I was getting leg cramps and repeatedly asked buffet, room service and customer service for bananas. They all said they didn’t have bananas. Really? After another agonizing talk with customer service, we got two bananas. Low and behold, on fourth day, buffet had large bowls of bananas! And they were gone at 09:40 – both the bowls and bananas! Three days later, we received 2 more! Desperate times call for desperate measures! I Started each morning with banana coladas (double the bananas NOT the liquor!) The Diario di Bordo. Comes late evenings for next day. Found out what time excursions are at that time. A bit concerning to me as there is no coffee available on board ship before 07:00. Had to call customer service as soon as I realized this and insist on 06:00 coffee service for following morning! Very upsetting to me as I did not expect the timing issue or the reluctance of customer service to help me. I did manage to get this done after raising my voice and insisting. Totally not necessary for them to allow the issue to escalate like that. We later spoke with Ciara during “hospitality time” and she told us that the room service time adjusts depending on ship’s arrival time in port. So if reaching port at 08:00, then room service is available at 07:00. If ship arriving at 07:00 then room service available at 06:00. If arriving at 06:00 then room service at 05:00. HOWEVER, we attempted to get 0600 coffee room service the morning we arrived in Roatan ( 07:00 arrival time). Room service DID NOT deliver until 06:50. Also, we always ordered 2 coffees, 1 hot milk, 2 hot coco packages, 1 OJ and sometimes croissants each morning. They had 9 mornings to get this right and they never did. So my conclusion is that this department is not customer oriented and needs a robust overhaul! (btw, we continued to tip the delivery person each morning in spite of this)

The cruise was nice. Costa has changed their ways. I will never go on another Costa cruise again. by virginiapetrucc

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Costa Deliziosa / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We had 122 days with Costa before this cruise. These days were not counted as they changed their system. Princess and Royal Caribbean keep points. Will not go back on Costa. We will stick with Princess or Royal Caribbean. It seems everything is extra.

Fabulous European Cruiseline! by Lykins2017

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Costa Deliziosa / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The embarkment and disembarkment process were fantastic, no issues at all. Food was good, but I did not enjoy late dinner being at 8:45-9:15 pm. Buffets were average, so I opted for dining room experieince each night. The entertainment shows at night were exceptional! Best I have ever experienced on a cruise. Large room and the cleanliness of the ship was amazing.

You do not get the value for your money by jowens802

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Costa Deliziosa / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

We overall were very disappointed with this cruise.  Water wasn't provided at dinner unless you have prepaid for it (and I mean, not even tap water).  The tap water access on the 9th floor was even cutoff at 10pm, so you have to order from room service and pay a service fee if you want a cup of TAP WATER.  This cruise advertises themselves as being known for their Italian cuisine which was terrible.  The only food any of our party enjoyed was the desserts.  Food service was promptly cutoff as passengers entered the ship from excursions and was replaced with sandwiches, meat, and cheeses.  We felt nickel and dimed the entire cruise.  There were no towel animals on the bed when we returned from dinner which I thought all cruiselines surprise you with these.  Customer service got rude at times also.  We paid more for this cruise for an interior room than we have ever paid before and were not happy with the overall experience.  The entertainment was not very well thought out either.

Worst Cruise EVER by loydwallace

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Costa Deliziosa / Destination: Transatlantic

After 23 previous cruises, on 5 other Cruise Lines, this Cruise Line is worse than anything I could ever imagine. The food was mostly bad, but did match the service everywhere on the ship! There is vertically no entertainment. Not even movies, except 4 of the 6 straight days at sea when there was no television, then they ran the same movies 24 hours a day.

Other than the bad food, nothing else is include on this ship. You are charged everything else.

I will not do Costa again at any price....

Costa has fallen by czpzdus

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Costa Deliziosa / Destination: Transatlantic

Staff was great. Turned off by restaurant and bar packages. Statement drapes torn and had holes, shabby. Big screen on deck was used for ads. No menus until dinner. Normal place for menus outside main restaurant was used for ads for other restaurants you have to pay for. Dinner menu varied every nite but menu did not reflect actual dish. Crepes were thick and served in a soup bowl covered with cheese sauce. The chef cannot make gnocchi . Spanakopita was a spinach pop-tart. Shore time at some ports was 6 hours. Crew was not happy with Costa. Lost one crew member in the middle of the Atlantic .

Surprised

Best spa on the seas by lasatterly1955

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Costa Deliziosa / Destination: Transatlantic

The Costa Deliziosa has the best spa of any cruise ship we have been on.  The cost for the 10 day cruise was only $114 person if you booked it pre-cruise.  When we got onboard they made us a better offer -- $170 for the 10 day use of the spa with a treatment included, I chose the facial, my husband the 60 minute massage.  The treatments were so good we had several other while on ship.  Another offer was a "Relaxing Night" it included a full body exfoliation, body & hair mask, body and hair moisturizer, a tea room experience and they gave a gift of a jar of scrub and pad.  All this for $39 and on top of that, if you booked a treatment they took the $39 off of the treatment fee.  The relaxing night lasted 2 hours and was terrific.

The rest of the cruise was good, as you would expect of a newer ship.
