On the Coral and Island Princesses there are 2 "secret" viewing areas that are superb. They're at the bow on Decks 10 and 11 ( http://tinyurl.com/89xu386 ). Go through the door that says "No Entry" or some such thing. It's actually okay to do - both of the spots are in full view of the bridge.

The TV channel from the bridge is fascinating.

Make sure you get the wrapped sandwiches from the cafeteria the night before an extended excursion. Our tour to Panama City was 6 hours and we were given a bottle of water and a muffin the whole time. We were not anywhere long enough to go to a restaurant to eat.

Bring binoculars and cool tee shirts and shorts for daytime. You will need them during your excursions!

Great hamburgers at the grill. Really liked the ventriloquist who entertained a couple of nights.

Take the time to talk to the people who serve you. They have interesting stories

Watch the morning show every morning to hear about the daily activities on and off the ship. The cruise directors were hilarious...we would watch it twice enjoying our morning coffee!

For inside cabins, leave the TV on the bridge cam. This way you'll know when its daytime and it will also give a light to the bathroom.

if you leave a meal hungry, its your own fault. great Fruit bowl available for all meals on the Horizon court. Main Dining rooms also are available for lunches and dinners.

Definitely go with the layered look. On deck can get quite cool and breezy!

We always enjoy the sit-down breakfast and meeting new people.

If given the opportunity in anytime dining, make a reservation for your preferred time. You can either dine by yourselves (or with the party you came with) or opt to be seated with others whom you don't know. Early in the cruise, we had no problem being seated without a reservation but later did.

Dining room very slow at breakfast. Lido had great food and didn't seem crowded. We ate breakfast, lunch and sometimes dinner at the buffet.

Pay the extra money for the day at Glacier bay and reserve the sanctuary - and reserve early, it books fast.

Lido deck ice cream and pizza bar good. Servers were really nice. Also the bar and sandwich place outside the casino has real good snacks.

I feel that you cannot go wrong with a balcony cabin.

Take advantage of the 2 different Bogo times for drinks. We would order 4 and get them to only open 2 and bring the extras to our rooms for the next day. Saved alot of money that way. Guys be sure to have long sleeves if you want to go into the dining room on formal night. Long sleeve shirt is ok.

I really did like channel 40 with the maps showing the ship's location.
