I would tell them that the Celebrity Summit is the perfect ship for someone who wants to find a cozy corner to hang out and read a book or spend a romantic time with a drink. We loved the abundance of intimate settings. This is a ship where a person can be with a crowd or off in a quiet corner. My favorite are would probably be the Cafe Bacio or the Cellars lounge. The variety of small venue entertainment, such as single guitar players of due musicians was very nice.

If you plan on using your cabin as just a place to sleep, get changed and drop off your purchases from your excursions, then choose an Oceanview cabin and save half the cost of the cruise. Put that savings towards another cruise. Our next three cruises will all be in Oceanview cabins

Keep your guard up! Covid is still very real and it’s no joke! Wash your hands often.

Be really excited about the buffet. It is ENORMOUS, with chef-quality food of every kind. (And make sure to be up in time for the breakfast buffet, because it is worth the effort.)

If you are considering Luminae, it is absolutely worth the price if you appreciate some sanctuary areas, and enjoy a wonderful restaurant option.

Talk to the staff. It seems to me that in recent years the staff have either been trained to be more conversational - or the overall management has made them comfortable enough to share snippets of their lives with the cruisers. We truly loved hearing out engagements, families, cultures different than ours, etc with so many warm, smiling, and positive staff members. My coffee cup never stayed empty long in Oceanview!

Meet the cruise director Alexander. He tried very hard to make sure all the guests have the best time of their vacation. Meet the children program director. Forgot his name. He loves the children and it shows. Try to eat as often as possibble in the main dining room. The desserts there are superrrrr

Bistro on Five had very good food. Service depended on which waiter you got. For a healthier breakfast and lunch head to the Aqua Spa.
