This was our 8th cruise but our first on Celebrity. Several people told us that we would never want to cruise with any other line again and they were correct. We loved every single thing about this cruise, but the thing that continuly stood out were the crew. We were always greated with a smile and kind words. They are professional and go out of their way to make you feel welcome, special, and appreciated.
Embarkation

Embarkation was a breeze. We had pre-registered and filled out all forms prior to arriving at the departure port. We had all our documents in hand and were whisked right through. The cruise employee welcomed us o. Board and thanked us for being prepared. It was the shortest most efficient Embarkation that we have ever experienced.

Food and Dining

The food was amazing! At every venue we were extremely impressed with the Quality and flavor. Presentation was always beautiful. Restaurants and buffets were immaculate. We especially appreciated the extra steps to maintain food safety. All food was dispersed by attendants or waiters who were masked and fully gloved at all times, removing the chance for passengers to cross contanamate the food. The fillet was the best I have ever had.
Onboard Activities

I used the Persian gardens and fully enjoyed the unique experience. We enjoyed the pools and the abundance or waiters who continuly circulated the area keeping us well supplied with drinks. Also it was another area which received extensive cleaning. Empty containers and plates were immediately removed. Towels were always available.
Entertainment

We were so impressed with the quality and variety of the on board entertainment. The entertainers were personable and visible on board. It was nice to be able to approach them and have a quick chat. Ashlie Amber was outstanding and were were blown away by her talent.
Children's Programs
We did not cruise with children. Actually we were impressed with the absence of children. It was nice to use the pools with out the chaos. We saw very few children on board but the ones who were present seemed to enjoy themselves and were well attended by their parents. The crew seemed to enjoy the kids who were on board.
Service and Staff

We had a man named Anthony who was our room steward. Our room was always immaculate and Anthony made himself available for any of our needs. He could answer any question we had. He was very good at his job. Our waiters name was Elvis. He was wonderful and fulfilled every dining wish that we had. We also enjoyed the matradee. (SAMAR?) He welcomed us every day and never made us feel bad about our occasional tardiness. He was extremely professional and gracious.
Ship Quality

We loved the set up of the ship. We prefer to use the stairs and liked how close and accessible everything was. The Summit was by far the cleanest ship we have been on. Everything appeared to be in good condition and the carpeted areas were nice with no discernable wear.
Cabin / Stateroom

We loved the quality of the linens! Very nice veranda. Very clean and neat bathroom.
Ship tip
I would tell them that the Celebrity Summit is the perfect ship for someone who wants to find a cozy corner to hang out and read a book or spend a romantic time with a drink. We loved the abundance of intimate settings. This is a ship where a person can be with a crowd or off in a quiet corner. My favorite are would probably be the Cafe Bacio or the Cellars lounge. The variety of small venue entertainment, such as single guitar players of due musicians was very nice.
We did not do any touring but I did forget my hat on board ship and a port attendant was able to make contact with the people on board. She waited with me and kept checking until it was found and returned to me. I don't know her name, but she was in the luggage area and went above and beyond.
We have been to this port before and found it to be dirty. We did not like our experience in the straw market where the vendors were hard selling junk that is available in Wal-Mart. We much prefer to stay on board our nice clean ship and enjoy a quiet day.
We agree. We did 20 Royal Caribbean cruises and a friend on a cruise suggested Celebrity. We're now on our 9th Celebrity Cruise with 6 more already booked. While we don't regret the Royal cruises, we certainly are enjoying the Celebrity experience more.
Sounds like you had a wonderful cruise. Celebrity is a first class cruiseline and 5 stars all the way. We've been on 3 Celebrity cruises with 2 of our favorite ships no longer in service. I guess we should see about going on another. Ships were beautiful, shows were great and food was absolutely delicious. We've loved the food on all our cruises but Celebrity was the best.
