Review summary

We were on the cruise with family members, so it didn't'necessarily matter where we went since the objective was to be together. We had a good time.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We went to the Tuscan Grille one night. Service is superior and food delicious. We celebrated two occasions and the staff were very accommodating in an understated and appreciated way.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Solarium pool is great. Spent a lot of time in the solarium. Very quiete compared to other areas of the ship.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
WE did not go every night. Just four times over the 10 days. Two ship production numbers, two oldies renditions. The band was superior

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward Edward was absolutely the best. Very accommodating.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was remodeled in 2019 right before COVID hit. So it has not been used very much since. Everything has a fresh feel to it.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
There were no more balcony cabins when we booked so we were lucky to get this oversized oceanview. There was plenty of room. The only drawback was that the windwo was right across from the bed so you could not read or anything on the bed because of the intense light coming in. Also the drapes gapped at the top and light came in as soon as the sun came up

Ship tip

Do not hesitate to sail on the Summit. 2000 cruisers to 1000 staff.

Ports of call

King's Wharf, Bermuda

5 out of 5
We went on the Crystal Cave and Aquarium and Zoo excursion. I just wish we had more time at the aquarium and zoo!

Charleston, South Carolina

5 out of 5
Everything is right next to the cruise terminal. You can walk to almost everything. And there is a free DASH bus that you can catch about three blocks from the terminal to downtown if you don't want to walk. We took the carriage ride and it was great!

Newport, Rhode Island

5 out of 5
We visited family.

Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts Did not visit port

The captain decided it was not safe to tender in to port

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
IT wasn't bad compared to some others that we have had. The problem was that we had a transit to the airport and th driver couldn't find the new terminal!
