Review summary

I read a lot of great reviews about the service, I did not see much of what people were talking about. Once I found a few good guys, I relied on them to fill my cup because a lot of the others were slow or non existent.

Embarkation

Summit has made this typically miserable part of the adventure a breeze. On the boat in minutes

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
All I read is how great the service on Summit was. In my opinion, apart from a few members of the crew, the service leaves a lot to be wanting for. Good luck getting drink in the buffet area of the ship, we barely saw anyone come by.

Blu

3 out of 5

I found the menu on this cruise disappointing. The Beef Wellington certainly did not use Beef Tenderloin, it was tough and a massive disappointment.

Mast Grill

5 out of 5

Definitely a fun place on the ship. Look for John, he will make your experience better.

Martini Bar

5 out of 5

This is a great social place and the focal point of our gatherings. My only complaint would be the elderly man from Thailand manning the bar. He was rude, dismissive and slow. All the other bartenders should be commended for having to deal with him.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We did make use of the basketball court as well as a lot of time playing cornhole.

Basketball Court

5 out of 5

Good size for a ship, full court, stiff rims.

Service and Staff

2 out of 5
Look for Ida Bagos, Putra, Varoonen, and John is you want great service. Apart from that good luck.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
No issues with the cleanliness at all. The design is odd, quite serpentine. You can't go down both sides of the boat, often have to walk in an S pattern. Getting to Blue, you have to walk through Cellar Masters, because Sushi on 5 blocks you from going down the other side

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The balcony is smaller than the Silhouette, but still functional. We were on Deck 9 and were very disappointed that balconies do not open to the next. We had a group of 6 rooms in a room and could not mingle
