Review summary

Food was below average for a so called "upscale cruise line", food was also cold, it took until the 7th day to find bacon that was not burnt to a crisp. I asked every morning & was told that that was it. A small dog was on the ship in the pool area & dining room, when I complained to the management their excuse was that it was a service dog. The dog owner was pushing the dog around in a stroller, never seen a service dog in a stroller before. I advised the ship's management that a "comfort dog" Is not protected under ADA guidelines & they repeated that it was a service dog. Entertainment was average at best. I'm going back to Holland America, will never sail with Celebrity again.

You sound like kind of a dick with your complaints about the dog.

Was the dog actively bothering you for you to complain about it?

i was on a cruise on HAL where a lady had a service dog she kept in her lap as it was a mini collie. we spoke at length with her cause we love animals and she allowed us to pet hers after she gave it a certain command. she said she had several people on the cruise complained to her that her dog was not a service dog. ..to that she showed the papers showing just what one has to go through to get a service dog on a ship...tons if paperwork explaining why the dog is needed and what specifically it does to alert. she suffered from seizures and the dog would alert her when one was about to happen. ..so just because you saw no physical ailments doesn't mean the dog was not needed. ..perhaps if you opened your mind a little you would know that service dogs service all types of things. ..comfort for anxiety or PTSD is a real thing as i know some VETERANS that can testify how much their dogs help them...sure hope that wasn't a VETERAN you were complaining about after they served for this country! ! !
