Review summary

Will definitely take another Alaska cruise but at a different port further north and hopefully make it back to Skagway. First time sailing on Celebrity but decided to book again while on the ship to another destination. Staff was pleasant, kudos to the captain for finding another port at the last minute when unexpected mudslide at Skagway closed the port, was really looking forward to the train ride. Also didn't get to Tracy Arm due to visibility but the captain took alternate path which was breathtaking as well.

Embarkation

Quick streamlined process compared to other cruises

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The main dining had many options, did not visit the specialty restaurants. The buffet had consistent varied choices daily which I typically utilized at lunch.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
One of the days at sea was taxing, not as much seemed to be planned to pass the time.

Entertainment

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Chose dining select but was able to get same staff with impeccable service consistently

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The room was roomier than other ocean view rooms and the windows were large, could sit on the ledge rather than just a small circle to peep out of.

Ship tip

Classic beverage package was best perk!

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington

5 out of 5
Love this city, used to live there, so much to do and see.

Ketchikan, Alaska

5 out of 5
Tongass hike and Saxman village tour- both tours were well worth it.

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
Whale watching was awesome, didn't care too much for the Salmon Bake.

Skagway, Alaska Did not visit port

Mudslide therefore dock was closed

Victoria, British Columbia

3 out of 5
We didn't arrive to port until a Thursday at 530PM, by the time you disembark and catch the shuttle it's almost 630 and everything is closed by 6 except for a few restaurants and all the tourist traps, plus it's dusk when you get there so really couldn't see much.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Speedy process but also I did the self assist luggage so didn't have to wait around for luggage.

A mudslide! Guess from all the reviewers talking of rain this Summer, a mud slide was not unwarranted. But the timing was bad for your cruise. Hope nobody hurt, and the cleanup is relatively easy.
