Review summary

After getting on board, all is great. But since planes were late, the shuttle to the ship left before we (about 30 persons) got. there I called the "emergency" number and Sabrina did not care, and did not help. She said that if we do not make it to the ship it would sail without us. I asked her to let me speak to someone who could help and she transferred me to a number that said that that office was closed!

this is an unfortunate situation but not Carnival's fault. It's an industry wide policy. I do agree that the woman on the phone could have transferred you to a working number but I feel like nobody on any 800 number cares about anything.

This is NOT just a Carnival policy. All cruise lines do this. That's why Travel Agents and Cruise Lines recommend that you fly in the day before. They can't hold up the ship's departure for late arrivals. All they will do is arrange for you to board at their next port.
