Review summary
Cheap Cruises is the only way to go when booking and I highly recommend you. However, a couple of instances regarding Celebrity made the beginning of the cruise un-enjoyable and frustrating. We had purchased the Celebrity Select Dining Package but were not interested in the formal nights. Prior to sailing, we called Celebrity and were told that on the formal nights we could opt for one of the specialty restaurants and that all dining in these venues were included "complimentary" in our package. Onboard that is not the case - felt like I was lied to. Onboard we purchased the Premium Beverage Package. I specifically asked the person from whom I was making the purchase if this package included items in the mini bar in our stateroom. I was told yes, "absolutely". Very surprised and a bit angry when we received a bill for the couple of items that we used in the stateroom.

We just returned from the Tracy Arm Fjord Alaska Inner Passage 7 night cruise. I was glad to learn "formal night" has been replaced with "evening chic" which for men can be designer jeans (who wears those anymore?) OR Docker-style slacks, long or short sleeve button down shirts. I noticed that even on the two nights of "evening chic" people wore what they wanted to wear anyway. Sort of sad to see grubby looking shirts some of the men wore.

It is too bad that you were not able to get the explanation in writing about the dining plan and the mini bar purchases. It is amazing the misinformation that is given out by phone reps. I ran into this problem when I called about how the transfer would go between two back to back cruises in different locations. i spoke to 4 different agents and received 4 different answers. The brochure said one thing, our docs said something else. One agent gave an absolutely yes answer, another absolutely no, the third I don't think so and the fourth I don't know for sure. The answer was a no when we were on the ship. How can this misinformation exist? Even emails were contradictory. I brought them with me for proof. The brochure was wrong. Our docs said something different.
