Review summary

First ever cruise and we were so very pleased.  What an awesome experience and Celebrity was wonderful!  Very friendly and attentive staff. Staff was constantly cleaning, welcoming, and smiling.  However, we were confused and undecided about the beverage packages and talking to lady from guest relations didn't help much since there was somewhat of a language barrier.  We just gave up and bought the classic package and was glad we did.  For those of us who don't like standing in lines and want to avoid crowds, getting in line early and returning a little earlier is well worth it!  Highly recommend Celebrity Solstice and would go again!

Onboard Activities

We made good use of the card room which is not large enough. Need more space for people to play games and such.

Entertainment

Entertainment is actually between ok and great. I was so tired from the excursions I'd fall asleep during the performances

Not near enough time to explore! We hired a cab and paid him $240 to drive us to the Gardens then give us a tour of the city. Worth every penny!

dplinc, we cruised the South Pacific in March, and of the 13 amazing nights, we had 3 formal dining nights. I wore a suit while several others wore either a sports jacket and tie or a tuxedo. It certainly is an opportunity for the ladies to dress-up, with everything from cocktail dresses to evening gowns.I did not feel "under-dressed" at all in my suit, but if I didn't want to dress up for the formal nights, I could always dine casual in the buffet area. Enjoy your cruise!

How "formal" was the attire on the formal dining nights?
