Why we keep going back to Alaska

My wife & I live in the Seattle area and have taken 7 cruises to Alaska.  The last two have been on the Celebrity Solstice.  Our repeat cruises are due to the beautiful scenery and the uniqueness of Alaska in general.  There seems to be something new each time we go that we have not seen or experienced before.  Compared with other cruise lines, the Solstice has the best lecture programs on board during the cruise.  In particular, Brent Nixon's presentations are the most enjoyable and passionate we have ever seen.  He has decades of experience in Alaska.  The Solstice also had a great crew and gave us excellent service.  We would highly recommend it.

Ship Quality
Not too big or small (2850 passengers), Great service
Food and Dining
Good variety
Service and Staff
Dadang & Ardia in the dining room, Jennefer our wine server and Cristina in the Sky lounge
In particular the lecture series of Brent Nixon.
Onboard Activities
Movie choices shown during the cruise was a disappointment.
Destinations and Excursions
r pricing many out of reach for many passengers
Cabin / Stateroom
The veranda was big enough for 2 people to enjoy. Also good storage room for luggage and clothes. Well kept up.
Cruise Tracy Arm Fjord, Alaska
Obviously seeing the glacier.
Juneau, Alaska
Were disappointed that we had to tender into Juneau.
Skagway, Alaska
The logger show was very entertaining with a very reasonable price
Victoria, British Columbia
Getting in at 6:00pm and leaving at midnight was not sufficient time to do much and it shut down most all shipboard activities.

They do a good job of trying to accommodate smokers without creating problems for non smokers.
