Coronavirus was always in the back of our minds but this did not stop what was otherwise a very good holiday.

Absolute relax away from busy life, fantastic trip. Will be doing the same trip again hopefully on a slightly newer ship, now that our kids are older they want more things to do.

A nice cruise but room for improvement by captket

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Alaska - Gulf of Alaska

This trip was our second on a Celebrity cruise ship. Over all the itinerary was great, with interesting stops. The crew was for the most part excellent. However is was not up to the standards we experienced on the Solstice a few years back. We would recommend this cruise.

Interesting trip by AnnetteI

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

A lovely cruise with interesting ports. Be prepared for hot, humid weather and LOTS of crowds. At one point a passenger had to be transferred to a hospital in Malaysia. Passengers were kept informed and the whole process seemed to be done smoothly (transfer to a small coast guard boat from a very large ship!).

We loved our aqua class... by clarissap

Sail date: /
Ship: Celebrity Millennium

We loved our aqua class restaurant Blu and our cabin steward was great. The food on Celebrity continues to be better than on most other lines. The captain got us super close to the Hubbard Glacier.

Wowed by Alaska, unsure about Celebrity by pinguina

Enjoyable overall. Alaska is beautiful. I wasn’t fully sold on Celebrity with this cruise, but I’d try them again.

Alaska is great by mandybe

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Alaska - Gulf of Alaska

Overall, love Alaska. This was my 3rd cruise & a bit disappointing compared to the other 2 as far as the food and the ship go. Didn't seem like it had been recently renovated like Celebrity claims

Trying to make do with less by rclooking

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Transpacific

This was our fourth trip aboard Millennium in the last 3 years including two other repositioning cruises. It is clear they are cutting back on staff compared to previous cruises. Both in the main dining room and the buffet there was a clear lack of staff to the point where the maitre'd was clearing tables in both locations. The quality of the food has also slipped a notch or two. Still decent meals but not of the same quality as in the past.  The ship was kept spotless throughout  the voyage. Our room attendant kept the cabin sparkling and addressed  us by name every time  we saw him which was often.  The bright spot was the entertainment. Had excellent shows in the main theater every night. The rest of the onboard bands were also very good. Overall a very good cruise but not as good as it has been in the recent past. Hope the staffing issue was a temporary thing and not a planned reduction by the front office.

Celebrity Millennium cruise April 2017 China and Japan by juliecclarke

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

Comparing Celebrity Millennium with Pride of America, Celebrity Millennium is beginning to show its age the rooms were a bit dated and some of the carpets and paint work need to have a spruce up. Entertainment some very good but to not fill the theatre each night in my eyes means that the entertainment did not cater for the full audience. Excisions, I booked on line before taking the cruise, I would not have booked the same trips had I of waited and booked on board (not enough info on line) Staff what can I say They could not do enough for us always smiling and very very helpful. Dinning experience: we booked into Metropolitan as our main Restaurants, was very good. Was put off trying others as extra cost of $44 per head seemed a bit high. (They put on buy one get one free on two occasions that seems to support this fact)

Very Enjoyable Cruise by sjcruise

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

Our first cruise with Celebrity was a huge success.   We had a Concierge Class C room.  Priority embarkation was smooth and painless.  Crew on board was amazing,  friendly, courteous and helpful.  The Millennium is an older ship but was kept immaculately.   The itinerary is well thought out and interesting.  When we didn't have a tour booked, there was always a shuttle to take us from port to town or city.

Great Cruise Itinerary, but condition of the ship needs some work by iankaus

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

We had originally booked on the cruise after this which was scheduled as a Chinese New Year Signature Sailing, but when Celebrity chartered the ship, we moved to this cruise as the itinerary was almost the same.

The service was generally what we had come to expect from Celebrity from previous cruises, but there were a couple of standouts such as Maria in Cafe al Bacio and Sever, one of the somelliers in the main dining room.

While most people go to the buffet for breakfast and lunch, give the main dining room a try, as the food there is as exceptional through the day as it is at night.

If you get the opportunity, try the progressive dinner (limited spaces available) which samples the food and experience in each of the specialty restaurants on the ship (one restaurant per course).

We did have a slight change to our itinerary (extra night in Hong Kong) as a result of bad weather.  Even delaying our departure we experienced 18ft waves the day after Hong Kong.  The ship was prepared, putting out extra paper bags around the ship for ill passengers affected by the high seas.

Overall a great cruise and some very interesting ports (particularly Vietnam).

LOVED IT ALL by LesForks

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

What a fantastic cruise. Group of 10 friends - we all had a wonderful time.  The boat is a perfect size not too big. So clean. The staff are all friendly and polite and always helpful. The Martini Bar was our favourite watering hole for a yummy cocktail or the best vodka - glad we did the premium drink package! The food in all the restaurants was of a high standard with plenty of variety. Thanks to our waiter Chris at the Martini Bar who looked after us all. We had a balcony room on deck 7 and it was ideal.  Shower was maybe a little small and not always cold water flowing but didn't spoil the cruise, weren't in the room that long anyway. The entertainment on board was of a good quality. Would totally recommend this ship and have already booked a new cruise.

Our Cruise by popsrozic

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Alaska - Gulf of Alaska

Overall a good experience. Food and service were good. The Millennium needs help. Showing signs of wear and tear. We would not book a cabin aft under the Café again (9th level) very loud, you hear people moving tables  and chairs throughout the day and night.
