Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The restaurants and Buffet facilities were fabulous. The buffet food was pretty good but the bread and dessert selections were bout so great. The main dining experience was great. The dining room was beautiful and the service fantastic. I personally prefer the food in the buffet food though.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
A bit too cool to use the pools. The hot tubs were just not warm enough. I'm guessing they were only low 90's. Had fun using the ping-pong tables and bean bag toss. Lots of cozy areas to sit and enjoy conversation or playing cards with friends

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Enjoyed all the fun performances on board. The game shows and things like that which involved the cruisers, we're particularly fun. Like Family Feud, Battle of the genders, Etc. There was a solo guitarist on board that was very good. His voice was fantastic. Enjoyed Louis' comedy show. Very funny! The "cirque" show was not great. If they would have just stuck to the performance it would have been okay. But trying to make it all sexy focusing on her in a thong and him as a Chippendale dancer. Not classy at all.

Children's Programs

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our evening wait staff totally made our on board experience just that much better. Roel & Moch are fantastic!!! And even when we would see them in the buffet at lunch or breakfast they would greet us by name and a huge smile. They are a wonderful addition to this Cruise.

Ship Quality

Enjoy the newly renovated ship. Everything was beautiful. Just wish it was a totally smoke-free Cruise, cuz it was always gross to have to walk through the smoking area in the pool to get to the Cafe for the buffet.

Cabin / Stateroom

Our room attendant, Mila, was excellent and always so friendly when greeting us in the hallways.

Ports of call

Seward (Anchorage), Alaska

3 out of 5
Only took the bus from Anchorage to Seward right to the cruise terminal and didn't do any Excursion or tour in Seward.

Cruise Hubbard Glacier

5 out of 5
Hubbard Glacier was beautiful and was so pleased to have a bright and sunny day and be able to get with them point five miles from the glacier to fully experience it

Juneau, Alaska

4 out of 5
A little busy but appreciate all the things that are offered. We did a whale watching tour and Mendenhall Glacier tour. Both were great

Skagway, Alaska

4 out of 5
What a cute little town with so much history. Enjoyed walking the town and Hiking before taking the rail tour, which had amazing views and scenery

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

5 out of 5
I loved this little Port. Wish I would have had more time to spend exploring this cute little town. We did a bear Excursion here, which was great because we were able to see two bears, but the problem is that it took up the majority of our day in we didn't get much time and the town.

Ketchikan, Alaska

Rented a vehicle and drove from one side to the other. Really enjoyed our own personal touring around the tongass National Forest. Unfortunately multiple people suggested a hike on Whitman Trail but it was awful. Nothing more than a gravel service road with scraggly views. Waste of time. The only thing that would have redeemed it would have been a bear sighting. There was obviously a bear there because there was a ton of bear scat on the road. Unfortunately we didn't see him. It was a hot and sunny 70 degree day so I'm sure he was hidden away in the shade somewhere.

Cruise Inside Passage, Alaska

4 out of 5
Beautiful views from the boat all day during our Cruise of the Inside passage. Saw some whales and porpoise

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

4 out of 5
Rented a car to drive the Sea to Sky Highway. Driving in the city was horrendous. Couldn't wait to get out of downtown Vancouver. But once we were out of the city we could not have been happier. Stanley Park was beautiful but our highlight was Lynn Canyon Park. Encountered a bear on the trail and saw so much beautiful scenery.

Disembarkation

We had a great experience getting off board. We chose to carry our own luggage instead of checking it the evening before. That was a great choice. We were able just to get right off the boat and go. Smooth
