Review summary

Celebrity made me feel low class. Celebrity caters to their Retreat and Aqua Class passengers. I felt we were what some call "dollared to death". Everything has trumped up charges. The basic internet does NOT perform as advertised, which forces guests to upgrade to their premium. I have cruised Royal Caribbean and Carnival in the past...I never felt like I was a lower class or beneath anyone, but Celebrity has brought back the classifications of people. To the point that if the ship began to sink, we would have been the guests standing at the locked gate of the stairwell trying to get above board, like those in the movie Titanic. Everything is geared towards their first class passengers, and the rest are just along for the ride.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
The food was horrible! Everyday it felt as though we were being served left overs with a sauce. Same food, different day!

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
The spa was amazing. The best part of the trip.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
The shows were great, but everything was unorganized.

Service and Staff

1 out of 5
The Cruise Director, Sarah, should be fired immediately. She was rude, unorganized, and we overheard her saying she didn't care what the passengers wanted.

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
It's an older ship that has been remodeled, but we noticed a lot of rust.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our cabin was amazing from day 1.

I agree with your review with the food, we were Aqua class and Blu restaurant was disappointing; we ate off the MDR menu most of the time.

Why rate the ports one star if your bad experience was aboard the ship???

As a fellow ā€œSteerageā€ class passenger I can say I didnā€™t get that impression from my Millennium cruise a few months ago. It wasnā€™t that great of a cruise but felt I was treated well. Sorry you had that experience.
