All in all, we had a fantastic time on the Celebrity Millenium. High points were the food, staff, cleanliness, excursions, and of course scenic Alaska.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
It was good except we, not having much cruise experience, were directed right to the Muster Station, and then after that no one told us about the photos of us getting on board. So we missed out on that.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
We traveled Aquaclass, which was WELL WORTH it! Our exclusive restaurant, Blu, was fabulous. The buffet was amazing and high quality. Dinner service at Metropolitan was a bit slow but we weren't going anywhere. Tuscan Grille was just OK. Wine selections were exceptional; we loved the Elegance Wine by Kendall Jackson. Loved the El Bacio Cafe for specialty coffees.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
On much of the trip it was too foggy/dreary/rainy to go on deck.
Entertainment
2 out of 5
I didnt care for the entertainment. Have seen better on other ships.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Service for the entire ship - concierge, help desk, wait staff - was amazing.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship was super-clean and well-kept.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Loved our mattress, sheets, pillows. Had a larger size cabin due to Aquaclass.
Ship tip
Don't know if this is normal, but we tipped additional amounts to our waiter at Blu and to our cabin seward.
Due to bad weather, we were going to miss out on this spectacular vision of a glacier, but our captain, bless his heart, turned the ship around, the weather cleared, and we were astounded at the Hubbard Glacier. One of the High Points of the trip!
We did the Mendenhall Glacier with salmon bake. Again, was rainy but we managed. The excursion was well worth it, and the salmon bake was fantastic. A cute little gift shop there.
Loved this port. Did the White Pass Railroad and learned so much history as well as the utterly scenic views. We then stopped in town afterwards. This is the cutest little town. We loved the Skagway Brewery where we had lunch.
Did excursion of the town. Ketchikan is a bit more commercial but we enjoyed the Totem Village and walking around town. Stopped for beer at dive bar Arctic right near ship.
