Cruising is definitely not my ideal travelling experience - I just prefer to not be on someone else's schedule when I am on vacation (but you don't know unless you try). Otherwise it was a wonderful experience, and I was able to see some areas of Alaska I may not have been able to otherwise. The staff on this ship was amazing, and anyone who gets to be on board with them is in for a treat.

The buffet was significantly better than the specialty restaurants. For what was paid for specialty, I definitely would not waste my money on it next time.

Staff was awesome 100% of the time.
Ship Quality

Cleanliness is 5-star for sure... in fact they tend to go overboard (it's REALLY creepy that you force people to allow you in their stateroom 2x a day for cleaning, especially when you're not on board for most of the day).
Ship design in general was good, except they need to fire whoever decided putting the smoking area in a space that not only trapped the smoke, but funneled half of it into the buffet cafeteria and surrounding areas of connected floors. Talk about disgusting.
Cabin / Stateroom

Everything about the room itself was great. Again the undisclosed mandatory 2x a day cleaning is creepy and made me very uncomfortable, but other than that it was good.
Ship tip
Avoid the pool area on 10th floor if you hate cigarette smoke.
Captain Theo did an INCREDIBLE job getting us as close to the glacier as safely possible!
That being said, people don't be that jerk who gets a spot along the rail and not rotate out so other people can get a good view too.
Thank you for identifying you are not a cruise devotee and that you still had a mostly enjoyable time. It is hard for us cruise lovers to understand not loving cruising on a premier ship but I have acquaintances that prefer camping to a resort, beach, or cruise ship vacation. To each their own.
