Review summary
Don't put this one off! It's NOT just for old folks (though, my wife and I are "seniors"!) We elected to book as many of the "strenuous" excursions that we could squeeze into our trip and from the biking to the hiking to the snorkeling to mountain trek to sea kayaking for a whale watch... we were so glad we didn't follow our original instinct to wait until we were REALLY too old (y wife is 62 and I'll soon be 68...) to partake of these fantastic adventures. The locals and excursion guides were incredible in every port... friendly, helpful, courteous and more than willing to talk with us about any subject! We did the 8-night, 'first cruise of the season' (departed May 10) and it was perfect in every way. Although we didn't know it at the time we booked the cruise, we understand that the 8-night cruise stops at a port rarely visited... not sure if that Icy Point Strait, Sitka or Skagway... but it might be something for you to consider. All of our previous cruises have been to the Caribbean (Eastern, Western, Southern and the Panama Canal) and they were great, too, but I Just can't say enough about this cruise!Embarkation

Take advantage of the Shore Excursions! (We signed up for the "strenuous" excursions wherever possible because we wanted to experience as much as possible.)
