Review summary

If you like to cruise and like nature there is this Alaska cruise for you. The weather  was as nice as it should be, but the landscapes, the view to the hills and the places along the cruise were excited. We made over 800 pictures and after a week it’s still difficult to select them, because they are all too nice. The organization of this cruise was good and the food excellent. In Juneau we made a trip to see the whales and we saw them. In Skagway we rented a car and drove to Canada, Slightly over the pass the weather was clear. On our way to Carcross we even met a bear family. We made also a trip with a seaplane and we would recommend this to do in Ketchican.

We expected to have a fantastic cruise with the possibility to make a lot of pictures from our balcony and have very nice views from our cabin. That was one of the reasons to spend more money and take a concierge cabin. Our cabin was on the 9th floor and it was very disappointed that nobody told us that from the 9th floor you couldn't make nice pictures. Because above of this floor there are the restaurants. This means that you have in our opinion a more than obstructed view if you are sailing between the hills in Alaska. Every time if we wanted to make a picture we have to go to the upper deck. There was no other cabin available. Anyway the company tells us that they think our room had not a obstructed view. And until now we had no reaction from the Celebrity. May be therefore this would be our last time with Celebrity.

Ship tip

Don't take a cabin on level 9 if you want to have a nice view on the mountains.
