Celebrity Millennium

16 Night Fall Transatlantic (Barcelona To Ft. Lauderdale)

Sail date: November 24, 2006

Ship: Celebrity Millennium

Cabin type: Balcony

Traveled as: Couple

Reviewed: 14 years ago

Review summary

The ship is first class but getting old. There's nothing too glitzy or over the top. We loved dining on deck for breakfast and lunch looking out the back of the ship. The Cosmos lounge on the top front is also a great place to read and relax. After six years the ship could use refurbishing. Some displays and arrangements are looking old and worn.

Ports of call

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

5 out of 5
We took the train directly to Saint Peters and spent hours at the Vatican museums and all. It is breathtaking. The train ticket includes the metro so you can go all day, Make sure to get your ticket authenticated before boarding or you can get put off the train.

Naples, Italy

Saddly they choose to eliminate this port of call instead of one of the lesser. Many folks were upset about this. They said they needed another day at sea for the crossing.

Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy

5 out of 5
The city is a must in every way. The museums, shops, churches. You can take the train and do it yourself IF you can make reservations on the Internet ahead of time for what you want to see.

Santa Cruz De Tenerife, Canary Islands

5 out of 5
Another beautiful city with good walking and shopping.

Villefranche-Sur-Mer, France
