Review summary

Pod bearing problems led to elimination of port making the transatlantic crossing a too long 7 days. Our concierge level balcony stateroom was very nice but did look a little the worse for wear. The balcony rail needed varnish and the bathroom shower was difficult to adjust. Other minor maintenance problems were noticed in the public areas. The ship was going into dry dock after our trip so perhaps the maintenance problems will be better after that. Generally the ship was tastefully decorated and easy to navigate. Service was first rate and the food was very good but they ran out of some items including OJ which disappointed.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Good variety included sushi, pasta bar and healthy food sections on the casual dining deck. Dining room food had several available every day options that complimented the normal selection well.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Ship Port lecturer and Opera lecturer were particularly good. Shows were average although the singing talent and band were excellent.

You really need more than a day to see Rome.

Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy

3 out of 5
Florence always a good stop unfortunately we were there on the same day as a Marathon so navigating the city was difficult and crowded.

Pros: Service in Dining Room and the Stateroom

Cons: Changed itinerary and condition of the ship
