This was a wonderful cruise with great ports of call.

We booked Concierge class and therefore embarkation was expedited.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food in the dining room was excellent.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We were always able to get good seating around the pool. As the weather was great the whole 16 days this was a plus.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The stage shows were excellent and the other entertainers were very good.

Cabin / Stateroom

This being only my second cruise, with a balcony this time, I was pleasantly surprised how spacious it was. Plenty of closet and storage space an overall well layed out.

Ports of call

Ajaccio, Corsica

Excursion: Prunelli Gorges. Very scenic tour up in the mountains, loved it.

Malaga, Spain

Excursion: Marbella & Puerto Bantus. It was a very nice walking tour in Marbella, which was lovely. We then drove to Puerto Banks - a beautiful seaside resort with fabulous yachts.

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

Excursion: Rome on your own. The coach took us just outside the Vatican. From there we purchased a hop-on-hop-off tour that did not even provide a map of the various stops. I was not impressed! We did not stay on for long and decided to walk, and walk we did. We had lunch in Piazza Navona, walked in front of the Pantheon, continued to the Trevi Fountain, then to the Spanish Steps and ended up at Piazza del Popolo. There we sat and enjoyed a glass wine then took a taxi back to the Vatican for our return trip to the ship.

Barcelona, Spain

We stayed in Barcelona on La Rambla for three nights pre-cruise. It is a beautiful city. We purchased the 48 hour Bus Turistic and saw everything you could possibly see. They have a red, blue and green line. We took the red an blue. Parc Guell was great.

Santa Cruz De Tenerife, Canary Islands

Excursion: Taganana. Loved this tour and would do it again. Drove high up in the mountains with fabulous scenery and spectacular sea views.

Villefranche-Sur-Mer, France

4 out of 5
Excursion: Nice, Eze & Monaco. Very nice tour.

Disembarkation

Found the disembarkation frustrating. We purchased transfers to the airport - never again. My mother missed her flight to Tampa and I nearly missed mine back to Canada. I would take a taxi next time.
