Celebrity Infinity

Sail date: July 06, 2019

Ship: Celebrity Infinity

Review summary

I will not sail Celebrity, again. I was very disappointed at the service, mediocre, unless selling you something, desserts were amazing, food was ok, and do not book anything ahead of time except excursions because they will not know how to find the reservations or what restaurants you booked. The specialty dining is a rip off.

Embarkation

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The food was okay and the drinks are very expensive if you don’t have a premium pass. The sad thing about the whole food experience was everyone trying to upgrade me the first few days to different packages. No one wanted to help you unless they were trying to sell you something.

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
I could tell they were geared more towards n older crowd. We stayed in our rooms when we were cruising. It was over run by kids on most of the decks.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Performers were great, but some of the shows were kinda bad. Again, geared towards an older crowd 50+.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
They were great when they were trying to sell you stuff, but other than that, they were scarce.

Ship tip

Be ready for someone trying to sell you something at every corner. Upgrade this, upgrade that, you need this, etc.

I was on the Infinity for 15 nights last Fall. There were 4 kids on board. It was, as you say, an older crowd. But I’m there, so.... I found everything excellent for the most part. I didn’t like the anytime dining concept, but that’s me. The food was so good in the buffet that we started doing that for dinners. I didn’t feel pressured. And they had good memories for pre-booked items. When things go wrong on cruises, as they will, just have fun with it.

I've never had an issue, but I always bring all my paperwork showing everything I've booked just in case...

You just started your cruise and you can already tell that you hate it?
