Review summary

Overall I have to agree with other people that we met on the cruise. Celebrity is not in a class of its own. Captains Club members are not treated as well on Celebrity as on other cruise lines. The food is just OK. The dining room service was just OK. Several nights in the main dining room had repeat menu items. In Colon Panama we were advised not to go beyond the fenced area unless we were on an excursion. Most ports we were bothered by people wanting to sell excursions and junk. The Infiinity is looking old. There was good entertainment throughout the ship. They rave about their Save the Waves program but you get way more paper advertising sent to your room than what is necessary. On a positive note, Bill Falls Panama Canal seminars were excellent and our stateroom attendant did a great job.

Do a thorough search on prices before you book. People we talked with paid a wide range of prices.

I was your ship mate. I agree that Colon was horrible. We took a Monkey Ecotour back into the Canal. It went through the worst of Colon. Something is wrong there. The main dining room didn’t have the draw of past cruises; but it also was our first time without a set dining time and table. We ended up in the buffet most nights. We really loved the buffet! The food was good everywhere. It was fresh and safe and tasty and we didn’t get food poisoning! Bill Falls made the Canal come to life!
