We were bad at not reading our stateroom material or newsletters left behind. By the 3rd day we were looking at them and planning our whole day and the next day as well. This helped make better use of our time.

Hard to pack for Alaska but don't over pack. I was able to get a nice spring/rain jacket in Ketchikan for ~$25 US.

be sure to check the daily activities posted on the flier in your room. when arriving at the airport utilize the luggage transfer service to avoid (some of) the long lines at the port terminal

The passport bar and martini bar were great spaces to hang out inside the ship and the bar on the top deck in the back was great in the sun and the waiters were all friendly.

To avoid waiting for seating in restaurants early evening dining a good idea.

Over the door storage holder and heavy duty magnets.

Get a Suite. It is so worth the extra cost for a big beautiful room with a balcony, especially when sailing Alaska, so much to watch as you sail by.

Get some gelato! The gelato is good, but the waffle cones made fresh are AMAZING! Also, we had incredible massages by Karen. She was awesome.

Overall, a very enjoyable cruise to Alaska. Minimal problems versus outstanding service, this one deserves serious consideration. We would book again!

Book with Royal Caribbean instead.

Lines for everything were shorter than anything I have sailed on in Caribbean

I am an obsessive vacation planner...I love to travel and love to plan our family trips, but when I started looking at cruises, I was completely overwhelmed with the options... there are just so many cruise lines, so many "deals", so many routes and ports! But I can say without a doubt, we 100% choose the right cruise and the right ship. This trip is perfect for all ages. A MUST do is the Hubbard Glacier excursion. It isn't cheap, but worth every penny!! Can't even begin to describe the magnitude of the Hubbard Glacier and this gets you up close and personal. It is actively calving off into the water right in front of you and it was the most breathtaking thing I have ever seen. Absolutely amazing, but it will sell out, so book early.
