My biggest complaint of the Vista would be the sound systems are WAY too loud everywhere on the boat. If you like the quiet, bring some earplugs.

Try to stay near midship, I was in the bow and new I would have more motion from the ocean, and I loved the view and the mini deck, but if you get motion sickness, stay away from the front

It was our first cruise and I would say that the carnival vista was a great boat to make it our first cruise so I encourage everybody to do it at least once and they will love it

As on any cruise, pack half as many clothes as you think you may need. Carnival was great. Definitely doing it again.

We had long waits for dinner, the dining rooms need more staff. Waited 50 minutes before receiving food during brunch.

Sailing on Vista is a must and if you do, you HAVE to make sure you’re at any event Matt is hosting! He will have you rolling with laughter! I promise you won’t regret sailing with Vista and Matt!!

Wear tennis shoes when going on the skyride & sky course (this is good to know before you jump in line) If traveling with kids there is height restrictions on skyride, sky course & water slides. Certain areas of the ship are more windy then others. I would highly recommend the comedy shows!

Keep your luggage with you. I purchased a new suitcase set but they broke it.

The only issue that was frustrating was the lack of organization related to the food venues in the lido deck areas. Long lines and cross traffic created a less than great experience. I realize that there were thousands of people on the ship and many/most did not think of others, but the serving lines could have been better managed or at least designed to be more defined and better organized.
