Overall this was a great cruise! I strongly recommend to check out the San Gervasco ruins in Cozumel and visit Stingray City in the Caymans.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Embarkation was not bad. There was a small amount of chaos since everyone was trying to get on the ship at once, but this was to be expected. The cruise terminal is outdated and could definitely use a makeover.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The majority of the food was fantastic. I recommend using the app to make reservations for the main dining room for dinner. I had a reservation within 10 minutes or less most nights. Fahrenheit 555 was a great steakhouse I'd recommend for anyone. Aside from Guy's burgers and maybe the pizza and desserts, I'd avoid the Lido Deck at all costs. The quality of service and food didn't meet the standards of the main dining hall. Also, be careful with alcoholic drinks. The prices add up quickly for two people (~$22 after gratuity for two pina coladas).
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
The fitness center was great. The pools were too small for my taste so I never went swimming. However, the did have an adults only section on the Serenity deck for adults to relax alone on lounge chairs and tan.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
I only saw two shows on the trip. Flick was amazing. It was a nice display of American Cinema wrapped into singing and dancing. American Rocks was also unique. It was a nice throwback to earlier rock music. They had a live band up there which was fantastic.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Our Steward, I Wayan, was excellent. He knew our names immediately and always greeted us with a smile. My fiancee had an injury during a game early on, and he brought us ice every day without us even asking. The waiters were all excellent. Due to our Anytime Dining, we rarely had the same waiter. However, they all brought great service to the table.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship was definitely new. And clean. I saw them repainting the ship at each port. My one critique was the casino. It was so smoky I could barely stay in there long. I would go up stairs, go over it, then go down stairs to get to the dining room on the other side.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Cabin was great. The obstructed view didn't bother me. We could just see some of the deck, but had a great view of the ocean beyond. The windows were mostly tinted, so privacy wasn't a huge issue.
Jamaica was pretty, but the people that live there acted very distant and strange. I don't think I ever saw a smile in my direction. I did the Dunn's River Falls Express, which was fun in itself, but the travel too and from was awkward. It was just my fiancee and I alone in a van with our tour guide. He barely talked about Jamaica so most of the trip was silent.
This was my favorite port. The people were very friendly. George Town was beautiful and had plenty of great food and unique shopping. We did Stingray City and Two Snorkel Shops with Captain Marvin and had a great time. The boat was brand new, and the guides were excellent.
This town has come a long way since 2003. The port itself is beautiful and has tons of food and shopping. I went to San Gervasco ruins and had a great tour with our tour guide Edwin.
Disembarkation was decent. The ship tries to control when people leave. They were calling floors at a time, but it seemed people were leaving when they felt like it.
