We were a little disappointed with the over all atmosphere. The main dinning room look more like a cafeteria than a cruise ship. It didn't help that they allowed people in for dinner in bathing suits. It was also strange to have to check in for a table on a different floor. It was also way to crowded , you had to wait in line for everything!

Despite the bad weather in Mexico, the cruise was enjoyable.

Everything about the cruise was great but the shore excursions definitely made for great lifetime memories. Also the Carnival Him app was essential for navigating and finding fun things during our time on the ship.

Matt, the cruise director, made this the best vacation ever!!!

Overall we enjoyed the time away with family and friends. What was disappointing is when we were given room assignments we were told my sister and I were close to each other on the same hall. This was not the case and it caused problems in caring for my son. This was very important for us to be on the same hall and it was expressed due to the need to share in the care given responsibilities. My cabin steward "Dedick was very attentive and did a superb job!

I would book this cruise again. However I would book it directly through Carnival not a third party. There were numerous offers Carnival offered that I was not able to take advantage of because I did not book directly through them. The people at were less than forthcoming with information that I could have taken advantage of.

We enjoyed it very much. The Carnival Vista is one of the newest and largest Carnival ships and has lots of extras. It was really the best for the kids. We did go at a time when it was very crowded and would rather it have been when there wasn't so much of a wait for everything and not so many people.

My family and I were part of a large group (27). We had a wonderful time. We wished it was a couple of days longer! We will do it again. The highlight was the NBA championship game which played on the seaview deck. Half the ship was there watching it!

We had a great time! The excursions were lots of fun, we will have wonderful memories to look back on!

Carnival Vista is an amazing boat, make sure to eat at Blue Iguana best burritos and tacos in the world, and visit red frog bar. Overall make sure to explore around and enjoy every single place on the boat. For sure one of our best experience and is our 5 cruise . And book excursion in each port to enjoy best place of each one

The ship is beautiful and enjoyable. Had a suite and enjoyed every amenity. The cruise director, staff and crew were outstanding. Enjoyed the excursions as well. Did the ATV in the Dominican and the UTV in Aruba. Also did the bus and beach tour in Curacao. Mambo beach is beautiful and picture perfect!

Ocean camp staff was amazing! Loved the food choices, however, it would be nice for some to open a little earlier for lunch.

We loved the layout and decor of Vista- more understated and more tasteful than most cruise ships. There is so much to do on this boat! We loved the Sky Rider. It is popular so there may be lines but posted wait times were accurate and the workers were very efficient in keeping things moving. There are many places to hang out, and we had fun at the Red Frog Pub. Ports were all really good. There isn’t much to do at La Romana, but we loved our excursion to Blue Lagoon and Saona Island.

We have used a lot and are always happy with the service! Harry makes this process so easy!

Ship too crowded and not enough staff. Everything costs extra! Carnival is taking advantage of cruisers.

Wasn't the best trip we've been on. Maybe I just don't care for this cruise line? It was my first experience with them and may be my last. I think that since it is a newer ship that they are trying to implement a newer way of doing things. I wish that food was open later, and more variety was served. I feel led astray by their website and what we actually got. Maybe it was bad timing getting to the buffet, but we never caught the sweet spot when it was open. we were very excited for the things they showed photos of online, but when we were there we didnt get anything, they just never were open...until the last day of the cruise... I went looking for cookies at like 1030 on the late night buffet and it was like they opened a box of chips a hoy.

As I understand it, the Vista is Carnival's newest and largest ship. It was clean. It does seem that there are too many passengers for the facilities. Long waits for elevators, food lines, no room in hot tubs or pool areas. Some of this might be due to the rain that sort of kept passengers in doors. Buffet food was pretty good. There is no doubt though that this is a business designed to make money. No issue with that but I think most people expect the formal dining food to be a step up - it wasn't. If you want better food then there are a few premium restaurants on board. One other example is paying $2.50 for single Earl Grey tea bag at afternoon tea. My bottom line opinion is that if you are new to cruising then you probably will like this and have a great time. If like us and remember what cruising was like 10-15 years ago then things have changed.

Entertainers were the best ever, food was very good when you eat in the extra cost restaurants but overall food was OK, be prepared for long lines especially for burgers-but they move quickly-best bar is the Alchemy bar-be sure to say hi to Vanndja and Brian-room stewards are great and rooms are spotless, a very smooth cruise-leave your sea sickness pills at home. Disembarkment was confusing and time consuming, again be prepared as they call the lower decks first, going through customs was a breeze.
