We enjoyed it very much. The Carnival Vista is one of the newest and largest Carnival ships and has lots of extras. It was really the best for the kids. We did go at a time when it was very crowded and would rather it have been when there wasn't so much of a wait for everything and not so many people.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
The weather caused the Port to postpone our embarkation for 2 hours but the cruise line sent us notifications by text message so that we knew what was going on. We were let onto the ship as soon as possible and although we couldn't leave at the time originally scheduled, the pools were open and food available everywhere.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
All of the food was wonderful. We especially loved the Guy's Burgers.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
So much to do, especially for the kids - the Water Slides (2), pools, sky ride, rope course, miniature golf, and on and on. We were in the Family Harbor Suites so we had access to the Family Harbor Lounge which provided even more access to video games, etc.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
All of the staff were helpful and friendly. Our room steward, Dean, was wonderful. He knew our names before we een met him and call us by name when he saw us anywhere on the ship.

Ship tip
We loved our Family Harbor Suite but would note that these suites are located on Deck 2 and are below the Galley and kitchen areas for 2 restaurants, so it was quite noisy at night. Once we got accustomed to it, it wasn't so bad.
We did the Bobsled excursion. It was a wonderful ride, but we had to wait in line for at least 2 hours much of which was in a hot building. There were some local musicians and dancers who provided entertainment for us while we waited so that helped some.
We did the Dolphin Discovery Excursion - it was the thing the kids liked best about the whole trip. Will say that the local people we encountered at the entry from the port, taxis, etc. were not especially friendly
