Review summary

Our best time was spent in Cozumel. The ship was organized and full of activities. It is true... Try the drink, Kiss on the lips!

Embarkation

4 out of 5
The Vista had a mandatory inspection Mother’s Day 2018. With the exception of the interruption of the cruise embarkation. I would say the staff handle the process professionally with very little interruptions. Everyone was given a letter as we walked into customs.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
You won’t find a better burger than Guy’s Burger! Treat yourself to Build an Omlet in the Buffet area for Breakfast. The Buffet meals for lunch and dinner are okay.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
I enjoyed Emma Nixon, Cruise Director (Matt’s replacement). She rocked the Electric White Party and other activities on the LIDO Deck. The Vista acknowledged the Military Soldiers. The Bingo Games are a Rip Off!! (They announce the pot is $4,000. It’s limited). Beware! The Broadway Show, Flick is very good! Be sure to tour the Massage area when you first board for a chance to win prizes!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
They were very good. I have been on cruises where the staff remember your name. The stewards and waiters were not personal but they all had excellent customer service skills. They treated me and friends nicely and made our time on the Vista pleasant.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
There is one area of the boat where the seating is not good. (2nd level is not a good area to sit to watch the Broadway show). The Atrium where the Electric White Party is held is nice. To me, it’s the Living Room on the ship. The ship was overall clean. There is always someone cleaning, scrubbing, wiping and mopping.

Ship tip

Go to the bank and get $40 in singles (One Dollar Bills). This comes in handy when you need to tip the shuttle drivers, when you are on your Excursions and for any other reasons.

It is true you can get ripped off in Jamiaca. The tour guides drive you to one location and drop you off. They leave you to go pick up other people at the Port. We were told we would see plenty of areas on the island. When we finished shopping in one store. When we came outside the van was gone. They returned 30 minutes later with another load of people. We question if they would leave again. They told us no. They drove us like a Mad Man to the Blue Hole. (He left us again). We were ready to leave before he returned because of the weather. Whenever he finally returned we asked him to take us back to the port. *There were people belongings on the van. Not a pleasant experience. There main concern was to transport as many people as possible.
