Go early pick a towel and place it on the chair you want to stay for instance, next to a pool or in a quiet place. Otherwise, when you go to look for a chair you may not find what you want.

Food and dring on the Sunshine are spectacular. The kids loved the soda pass, which is very reasonable priced, but things could have been done without by just getting the freely avalable bevarages on the Lido deck (9) throughout the day. Tip: the lemonade is so sweet that it might help to cut it by at least 50% with water or ice tea which is unsweetened. We bought a medium and fast internet package. They are both super slow and dont expect to be skyping or posting a whole lot on facebook. If I could do it again, I would get only one to stay connected. Only one device can be connected at ta time but you can switch. Forced me to stay off my phone which was actually a blessing. Buy the bottled water through Carnival beforehenad. It is a good deal and will safe you expenses down the road. You cannot bring water onto the ship. They wil confiscate all bottled drinks as you get on.

Be sure to treat yourself to one of the specialty restaurants, they are worth the additional cost.

Go on the Dolphin Excursion in Nassau Bahamas at the Blue Lagoon Island. In Grand Turks do not pay for a beach chair on the beach. Bring cash off the boat some of the market vendors only take cash not credit.

Had i known/ investigated that the ship was 20 years old i would have probably chosen a different cruise line. The internet packages are pointless

Be prepared for mass confusion and lack of aid from Carnival the moment you step off the ship. Luggage numbers are just scattered around warehouse. One found, you then have to muscle your way to Customs. Good luck trying to get into the elevator to the ground. People with suitcases (plural) were being told to use the escalator! Porters & carts pushing into line for elevator. Utter mob scene. Then try to find your bus! People going to LGA were directed to JFK buses, etc. No guidance. No order to bus positions.

Get to the shows early to get a good seat!! The liquid lounge has very few tables so if you get a drink while watching the show, there's nowhere to put your drink unless you get there early and get the few seats that actually have tables in front of them. We usually got there 45 mins early to get our seats. If you're playing bingo, always prebuy the cards at 11am-12pm because you get an extra card for free when you pre-buy it.

Don't accept a room at the back of the ship! Too noisy and you won't be able to sleep.

It was stated that beverages were not allowed on ship but people were bringing cases of soda and water. I also understand that some people brought their own liquor.

Don't sign up for the best internet service @ $140/day. It didn't work the majority of the time.

My tip would be to plan to spend extra money dining at the specialty restaurants. We were not happy with the food at the buffet.
