Review summary

The ship was nice, but the pool was small. The entire ship was small and I wish they would redo the liquid lounge so that there are more tables and not just 10 tables for your drinks. Also, the other smaller comedy lounge (I forget the name), was small and it was hard to see the comedians because there were walls on the sides and people couldn't see the entertainer-they had to watch a TV to see it.

Embarkation

Pretty quick and organized

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food and drink were great-no complaints-very few times we had to wait for a table, most of the servers were very friendly and attentive!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Tons of activities to do all the time-all day long-we enjoyed bingo and trivia every day at 10am. The pool was way too small (everyone could stand only, no swimming because too crowded). One of the smaller pools on the ship, the adult pool was nice with the waterfall, but was also too small.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Awesome shows with awesome performers! The performers on the show were great-very good shows with great special effects.

Children's Programs

My kids are almost 14 and chose not to participate in the kids club-when they did, they said it was boring and everyone was just sitting around so they did their own thing instead.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Waiters were all EXCEPTIONAL...best servers and very attentive anytime we needed anything. Steward not so much-our room wasn't even ready until AFTER our ship started sailing-our beds weren't even finished yet and the other people's linens were on the floor, disappointing that our room wasn't ready until way late for some reason. When he did clean, he didn't do a very good job and the sink was still dirty (yuck). Maybe because he was rushed because he was late??

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
Ship's design was ok, nothing special, The pool deck was always dirty-there was a day when we were trying to find a beach lounger and there was food sitting around all the chairs which looked like it hadn't been picked up in a while-pretty clean in the buffet area though, but the attendants around the pool area need to clean up after people quicker because it was pretty disgusting to see food sitting around in a lot of places around the chairs.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
It was ok-nothing special, I wish there were 4 chairs on the deck instead of just the 2, I understand that the deck was small, but it would have been nice for the kids to have a place to sit too even if there was a smaller bench seat out there-we ended up dragging the stool out there so they could sit down also.

Ship tip

Get to the shows early to get a good seat!! The liquid lounge has very few tables so if you get a drink while watching the show, there's nowhere to put your drink unless you get there early and get the few seats that actually have tables in front of them. We usually got there 45 mins early to get our seats. If you're playing bingo, always prebuy the cards at 11am-12pm because you get an extra card for free when you pre-buy it.

Ports of call

New York, New York Did not visit port

Simply came here to get on the ship only-didn't visit anything.

Grand Turk Island

3 out of 5
I loved our excursion that we did with the stingrays, but there seemed to be too many people so it was hard to snorkle and not have other people right near you bumping into you (and pushing you near the sharp coral) unintentionally. Didn't care for the snorkeling part, but the stingray part was very nice.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

5 out of 5
My favorite port and so relaxing. We did no excursion-simply hung out at the beach. Rent a clamshell right away to get some relief from the sun.... Those are well worth the money. My only complaint is the food is so far away-a small hike away from the beach in the heat-some elderly people were having a hard time walking that far to get food-no drinks close by either unless you buy from the bar. Why not put the soda/water machines closer to the beach and shopping area so when people are hot they don't have to walk so far to simply get a drink of water without paying for one? Otherwise, beautiful island!

Nassau, Bahamas

Not a lot to do there, lots of beggers, run down buildings, The excursion we did I did not like at all-it was Nassau Quest (scavenger hunt and visiting the fort). It was so hot and the fort underground was unbearable as we ran around trying to find clues to a book where the pages were all out of order on purpose (why??? made it aggravating), we went to the top of the fort to play games and there wasn't enough room for our entire party to sit because they "had a bigger party than usual". The food tasting part was long with us all crammed together on a picnic table on a hot day slowly tasting one food after the other-I couldn't wait for it to be over. The games were fun and the guides were nice, but I wouldn't recommend this excursion for sure.

Disembarkation

Surprisingly streamlined and organized-was a lot faster than I expected. The driver wasn't even ready for us yet because he was surprised we were out so quickly. TIP: Use one of the porters (luggage helpers, whatever they are called), with a flatbed truck-even if you don't have a lot of luggage-by using him, he zoomed us past all the lines and right to the front of another line to get us out the door!! We didn't have to wait in ANY line to leave and show our passports-right to the curb he took us and dropped our stuff there for us, he took us around everyone and right to the front of the curb! The BEST tip I ever spent-I tipped him well because he even spoke to my driver on the phone to explain to him exactly where to pick us up. USE THIS SERVICE

But I bet the comedians loved the fact they had a SRO crowd. Ba-dah-boom!
