The Sunshine is a 20 year old ship that was just renamed and upgraded 3 years ago and we are crazy about it. It is very easy to get around and we found it very clean. Go on a cruise with a positive attitude and you will have a blast.

Go to all the shows, comedy shows, piano bar etc. Take a nap after being in the sun all day before dinner so you are ready for the night life. Do not miss anything. Wonderful trip!

When you can't find anywhere to sit at the lido buffet, head outside to guys burgers. Plenty of seating to accommodate a big group.

Havana bar area is a nice, quiet spot to enjoy breakfast and lunch. It does get busy towards to end of the cruise once everybody finds out about it.

If you are expecting a luxurious cruise, this is not it. Lots of crowds and Kids. However, we were not surprised. We feel we got exactly what we signed on for. Food was OK and adequate. Guys burgers and pizza was OK. Alchemy bar was our martini bar of choice. Most pleasant crew on board.

Make sure you double check the "new" rules, the website still says that you can take 12 bottles/cans with you onboard but my eight pack of diet mt. new was confiscated and loads of water was taken in the boarding terminal. The reason is still unclear.

Don't sail on the Sunshine. They sacrificed customer service and comfort for the bottom line when they redesigned it from the Destiny. Worst cruising ship we've been on.

HAVE FUN and relax. Use the Carnival HUB app to schedule your days. If you're 21+, go the whole way to the top deck of the ship in the front and hang out in one of the pods in Serenity. It was so relaxing and there's shade if it's really hot or you've had too much sun.

Don't miss eating breakfast or lunch in the Havana bar from the Italian or Asian kitchen or just bring your buffet food and enjoy the views from the back of the boat!

My tip would be lower the bar; this is a very old ship so don't expect everything to be shiny and new. Learn the deck layout early or you will be confused the whole time. There is no easy way to get to the restaurant or comedy club.
