Overall cruise was great. Ended on sour note. My main exciting excursion was my visit to the Cruzan Rum Distillery in St. Croix. Picking up rum or any beverage on the last morning was complete chaos. Carnival lost a lot of folks liquor and had to reimburse or replace it. I bought specialty flavors not available in US. Debarkation process is stress enough without this added frustration. After four trips to pick up my rum and two to guest services they replaced it with a Pineapple and a Lemon run. Needless to say I was upset. This process MUST be improved. The total was not just the rum but add in the cost of the excursion. Buying the special rum and bringing it home for Christmas gifts was a huge part of the experience. In addition we had to drive nine hours home we were an hour later leaving. Could have been avoided. Many folks were going thru same process. Staff was great trying to help.

Ship tip
The Asian and the Italian Restaurants aft on Lido were open and free from 12:00-2:30 every day and didn't find this out until at dinner one evening over halfway thru our cruise. Excellent food.
If you want to get a good seat for a movie at the seaside theater go early. They fill up. Very popular.
Walked to Public Bus Station and took bus to nice beach. Darkwood, Jolly, Valley Church, and Turner were some beaches. We liked Darkwood because it wasn't crowded. Difficult getting bus back from Valley Church although locals ride it to work and back every day and our bus stopped and picked up cruisers there the week before when we visited Darkwood Beach. Valley Church was a very popular beach with jet skis. Bad snorkeling. Water stayed cloudy from jet skis.
Favorite port of call new excursion offered is the Bois Cotlette chocolate tour. Loved it. Another cruiser said they saw seven sperm whales on a tour with local dive shop. Apparently there are resident whales that stay year round. That will be my next excursion in the beautiful Nature Island of Dominica.
PAYS TO KNOW FRENCH. It is French so expect topless beaches and thongs. We visited on Sunday and everything was closed. A lady was mugged right in front of us by two guys on moped. They drove by and I thought patted the lady on shoulder but they actually stole her gold necklaces and vanished. It happened so fast. Never wear jewelry on shore and watch your bags. My husband said they were gonna grab his off his shoulder but he heard them coming and turned and looked eye to eye with the driver. Ladies with little shoulder purses take note they will slip up and cut the strap and you won't even know it before it is too late.
Cruise Terminal partners with several hotels and will give a 40% discount on parking. They only charged the 7 day rate for our 21 Day Back to Back cruise. With the 40% discount we only paid $80 to park for three weeks. Thank you Port Canaveral.
I agree. I was on the same cruise and was lucky when I came down it was just starting up the stairs. They were unable to locate mine but later found it. Waking up on the last day is bad enough and don't need to be "punished" for buying in port.
Oh wow....that sounds like pure chaos. What flavor rums did you initially buy before they were lost. I bought back blueberry lemonade, they don't have it in NJ
I also did the Cruzan rum distillery tour. I enjoyed the tour, and the cost of rum was cheap. So, I also bought a bottle to bring back. We were rushed at end of excursion by the driver, so didn't get to try all the shots or drink tickets they give you, so had to buy one bottle and run to shuttle. They should give alcohol night before when packing. Chaos the day Debark!
